It's quite unfortunate that Caleb's controversy has overshadowed his card plot. It's BRILLIANT. The political intrigue is well-written, and their smut scenes are more like psychological battles as they make out. All those deception and rough seduction to distract the other party from winning...

you guys know that mc isn’t supposed to be a good person in this new banner right? she (and some of the boys [maybe all i havent seen all their cards]) are very obviously intended to be morally grey at best and genuinely awful at worst. this new banner is tackling dark themes, and complex narratives in all of the stories. the stories from the new banner aren’t intended to be looked at as cute wholesome fluff or your typical self insert cutesy story. lads has always been a story that tackles intense themes and even dark themes at times, and this new banner is taking that very hard.

if you need someone to tell you this let me be that person: mc (and the boys) in the new banner are not meant to be admirable. they all do things that are bad in real life, and the things they do as well as the opinions and feelings they hold should not be replicated in real life.

they are intended to be morally grey & even bad in this new banner, that is not a bug, its a feature.
