Which characteristics does your muse take from what they personify?:
As a child that was abducted himself at a very young age, Alex knows the terror of child trafficking firsthand, having met his first death at a very, very young age. For the first few years he was terrified, unsure what to do once he discovered what he was and what he could do.
No idea where he was at the time or how far away from home he may be, he did the only thing he could think of to do - save others like himself.
It started with the children that had been taken with him and then with those he had met during his year or so of capture. Alex was quick to realize that there were many, many more children at risk like he was though and set about saving them as well, often by purposefully getting himself caught in order to get close enough to free the others.
What child innocence he once had has long gone now, replaced by a sharp, clever mind and a bite to his words that seems rather unbefitting of what appears at first glance to be no more than a normal seven year old. He’s learned to manipulate people around him into doing what he needs them to and can switch from a snarky sassquatch to a little ray of pure sunrise on the flip of a dime.
Brave beyond his years and worn with unwilling experience, he will do anything in his power to ensure that no one else ever has to go through what he did.
A rough outline for what they do in the 21st century (career, lifestyle, etc.):
Occupation: Appearing to be little more than a child, he has often integrated himself into orphanages or foster homes where he has received enough of a formal education to get by. It would be a bit of a stretch to call him a student given how often he travels from place to place, most of his knowledge achieved through books or experience instead.
If asked, Alex would cheerfully refer to himself as a ‘renegade hero’
Lifestyle: A free spirit in the loosest of terms, Alex moves from place to place, frequenting wherever missing children numbers are at the highest. He’s been adopted on numerous occasions but never stays long, making sure not to ever gather too much attention or linger long enough to show up on the police records.
Eventually he’d like to find a place where he can stay for good though he gave up on the idea of family long ago when he left his own behind for good.
