Story time

So I have a friend who is currently chatting with a guy from CL. She texts me the other day for my opinion w/ screenshots of their convo. In it “he’s describing how he’s looking for raw passionate, long intimate moments like lovers without the drama”

She realizes that means no condoms, to which he responds yes & I’m clean and had a vasectomy.

To me this screams complete BS and I would think most people would just stop talking to him. But my friend is in a bad money situation and is still talking to him. He’s told her “oh yeah sure I’ll go get tested and they’ll email me the results” I mean 🙄🙄🙄. And I’m pleading with her to just drop it but she won’t. Now all I’m doing is sitting here praying nothing happens to her.

Anyone have any advice? Am I being crazy ?

Confession: I’m a little on the thick side, and I have a tummy (like a size 10). Anyways, I’ve been casually dating/sleeping with this (white) guy for about 2 months. It’s not serious, but I’d like it to be. He’s lanky and stuff but PUTS IT DOWN in the bedroom. My weight has always been up and down, and I’ve struggled with bulimia and after falling into a big depression at the beginning of the year, I have gained some weight (15-20 lbs…life was really hard, lost my job, racked up debt, got my heart broken). After picking up the pieces, this guy is the first guy I’ve dated post-depression and I was feeling good. He respects me and my boundaries, he makes me laugh etc. He’s a good dude. So, I told my mother about him and she’s like “you need to lose some weight because white guys don’t want to marry black girls usually, and they really don’t want them fat” and that’s been in the back of mind ever since. Now I can’t even enjoy being around him without thinking about him thinking I’m fat and disgusting and even on dates I try to not eat because of that. Her comments have gotten into my head to the point where I’m afraid that he’ll cut things off because of my weight and I hate that. I hate that I can’t even enjoy something like budding relationships or sex because of insecurities that my mom put in my head. I feel like I could be skinny and she would still have something to say. She’ll point out IR couples and be like “she’s skinny. if you date white guys you have to look like that” and dating white dudes isn’t even something I see as a big thing. But now I’ve slid back into my old ways because I want things to work out with this boy. I hate this.
