(Pressure/ NoLongerNull Rant and Resignation SA, suicide )
First off, I am not a rant blog. I am an art blog. Blah blah blah. Whatever. I put more time than I’d happily admit into Pressure. I even liked Pressure, slowly less over time. I’m not super devastated about being unable to sanely enjoy it anymore, because it never deserved that attention. Etc, etc, who cares.
Second, all rapists deserve to die. No acceptations. Zeal has proven himself--this time, above all--to be a deplorable, disgusting, selfish, cowardly excuse of a human being, with the moral compass of a cockroach: self-serving. There aren’t people on this planet who piss me off more. His actions, reactions, and impulses are not to be forgiven for any reason, no matter how many corporate emails he writes with ai and calls "apologies", or rain clouds he paints over his head.
Ren is a very skilled artist, and a very, impressively, compassionate person. I’m sorry I cannot say more, as I simply don’t know them well enough to say much else. But I do understand that their bravery will not go unseen. They were very aware of the consequences bringing this to light would muster, though very obviously not the intention, and I admire that they don’t wish harm upon Zeal, but personally, I don’t care what happens to him. I don’t have the energy for death threats, or manic hatred, but if he kills himself over this, I would not care. I honestly expect it, at this rate. Any bigoted fuck who genuinely threatens people with suicide over things not going his way, is childish, and one of the only instances suicide is selfish and irrational. Trust me, it says tomes about Zeal, that Ren is even afraid of that outcome. Rightfully so! I don’t want innocent people to die either, but Zeal is far from innocent.
I am overjoyed to hear that other people are being honest about things both Zeal and Zirum (don’t get me started on her, I won’t stop) and others on the team that I have dehumanised in my mind past shadows on the ground, have done of a similar vein. And what should I have expected, honestly. Like attracts like, so I genuinely don’t know why I was even slightly moved to find that it wasn’t just Zeal.
As if this means something, to Ren, I am sorry you had to experience something as terrible as this. You are very inspiring to speak up about this, as finding the courage, and still caring about the community after the fact, is more than a lot of people are able to do.
To devs, artists and actors on the team who aren’t deplorable fucks (if you have to ask, it’s probably not you) I am sorry you were roped into this, wether you knew or not. I probably shouldn’t imagine the betrayal or other mixed emotions that came of this mess. I am sorry you are out of a job, but I hope you go on to do better and brighter things with people worth your time.

Yea, I guess I’m upset over losing a story and its potential, but honestly? I’m not gonna remember this in a year. Hating takes effort, and I genuinely don’t have a fuck to give. I care that the rapist is still alive, of course, but the story has meant less to me over time, and it really isn’t the point here. I’m embarrassed how much time I put into it, not knowing the owner was a waste of oxygen. How many things I was saving for you folk. How much effort I put into something I thought was worth my time. Turns out, it was a waste, and I’ll never get that time back, but I’m not gonna care in a year. Ren is going to take/ has taken months to recover from this, and rightfully so! This has affected them more than anything, and I am just a consumer.
In case it wasn’t clear, this is the last thing I will create that is Pressure related: malice, and disgust. My disapproval in bold letters. We should not care about the story or what it could have been. We should care about the actual scaring it’s left behind, on everyone involved, and especially Ren. Fuck fame. Fuck money. Zeal, and all rapists, kill yourself: The world is better off without you. Always stand up and push back. Check your sources, and spread correct information. ALL RAPISTS DESERVE TO DIE.
