Money Drawing Shell Spell
So I found this beautiful green shell recently and have been planning on making it into something to draw in some money since ive been a little short changed recently. Finally got around to it today.
If you cant just happen to find a green shell, you can get one at an art store or even paint a shell green.
What you will need for this spell:
1 Green Snail Shell
1 Green Candle
1 pinch Patchouli - for money
1 pinch Valerian - for wealth
1 pinch Cinnamon - for success
1 drop of Honey - sweetens your life and your income
Light your candle and focus on your intent, let the candle burn for a minute while you maintain focus. Now stuff the herbs deep into the shell til its filled up to where you cant push your finger down very much from the tighntess of the shell. Now add a drop of honey to the mix and seal it by pouring in the melted candle wax. This should hold all the herbs in the shell once the wax dries, with an end result looking like this:
Now either place it somewhere you like to keep your money, in a secret spot, a safe, etc.. or carry it around with you. I plan on keeping it in my purse next to my wallet.
Blessed be <3
Far out in the ocean, where the water is as blue as the prettiest cornflower, and as clear as crystal, it is very, very deep; so deep, indeed, that no cable could fathom it: many church steeples, piled one upon another, would not reach from the ground beneath to the surface of the water above. There dwell the Sea King and his subjects. The Sea King had been a widower for many years, and his aged mother kept house for him. She was deserving of very great praise, especially for her care of the little sea-princesses, her grand-daughters. They were six beautiful children; but the youngest was the prettiest of them all; her skin was as clear and delicate as a rose-leaf, and her eyes as blue as the deepest sea.
Super fast reminder that I am ALWAYS up for witchy talk no matter the medium so feel free to ask questions or just pop over for a chat.
No, really. Any medium. I just answered a ghost question for a fellow player over my headset while sniping in Destiny so this is an actual thing I do.
How do you deal with being a landlocked sea witch? I grew up 15 minutes away from the ocean, my family is form the caribbean and the ocean just has so much to do with my life and my identity. Now I'm living in IL and I have been pining for the ocean or just any body of water. I've been getting progressively sadder about it and sometimes i just feel like crying. I feel like something is missing. My sister is sending me some beach things, but is there anything else i can do?
Shoot, sorry about that. Life is very wild for me at the moment.
Here’s the thing. I live very far from the sea, and while I’ve acclimated very well (as you probably will with time), it is very obvious that this is not where I am supposed to be. Living in the mountains, several miles above sea level, while I can go about my daily business, I am less healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally. Even one day on the coast has an obvious positive impact on these things.
Now, any body of water you can find does have the sea’s energy, which is great. I always feel my heart lift upon visiting a cascading waterfall or a lake or a pond. It isn’t as intense, but it is still there.
Being landlocked does open you up more to other parts of the sea’s realm. The sea exists outside of where we can physically see it, and honestly, had I lived on the coast, I might not have known this.
The sea is every chaotic storm that sweeps through.
The sea is the wind, the same wind that guides the waves.
The sea is the moon, the keeper of the tides.
The sea is the stars, age-old navigators for sailors.
The sea is the sun, heating up the sand.
The sea is the clouds, moving the same way the waves do.
The sea is the winter, in the snow and the ice.
The sea is everywhere. Heck, look into the geographic history of your exact spot, and I guarantee that at one point, millions of years ago, the sea was there. I know the sea was where I am now, and more recently, thousands of years ago, glaciers shaped the mountains and the small valley that make up my home town.
Of course, I do still visit the ocean. I would lose it if I couldn’t. But the key is to maintain the connection and to learn to see the sea in places where you wouldn’t see it otherwise. That keeps you up between visits.

Things I stay away from:
Fairies don’t like iron.
Try not to leave things that will litter nature unless you have a designated offering area or altar for the fae that you clean/keep tidy regularly.
No incense. They don’t seem to like smoke.
If you stop working with them, making them offerings, or “forget” out them - they will remember. They don’t like that.
So this is my personal list, probably left some things out. All elemental beings are different in other areas. Some things that might work for me will not work for you. The ones where I live absolutely HATE glitter, but I know in some places they don’t mind. In all, they are curious and shy little creatures that usually aren’t too fond of humans, but you can get on their good side with a little bit of time and commitment. Remember, though, that not all fairies are nice and some may be mischievous.
That post about magic and class is kind of funny because some of that stuff has actually happened in real life.
There’s a divide between upper class Ceremonial traditions and lower class folk magic. Interestingly, although Traditional Wicca has its roots in Ceremonial Magic, Neo-/Eclectic Wiccan traditions have tried very hard to distance themselves from their antecedent, preferring a more “low magic” image. The fact that we even refer to magic as “high” or “low” says something about class.
There’s constant grumbling over using technology for witchcraft purposes, from having a digital Book of Shadows (”Real witches hand write their books!”) to performing online rituals. You will hear rhetoric that suggests that urban centers are “less magical” than the open countryside, or how “human made” materials block magic and/or energy.
Some covens will accept work that you do on your own before joining them (basically like being self-taught) others will not.
I have actually seen people argue for charging someone with murder if they admit to using magic to cause someone’s death. (I don’t know how they’d prove it but it’s been discussed).
Paying for magical goods and services is another issue. Most say you must NEVER HAGGLE when it comes to buying tools and that you should NEVER EVER charge people for witchy services. Some witches run businesses.
There have actually been groups that have attempted to speak for “all witches” or people who have declared themselves “Witch King” and such, that didn’t last.
There are authors who like to include spells with expensive ingredients which they claim are necessary for the spell to work. Some witches have found great success using similar, less expensive ingredients.
There aren’t actually name brand spells but there are mass produced altar setups for the newbie witch.
I really want to get the Undersea Tarot deck. Upon seeing images of some of the cards, I got this bizarre feeling that I don’t even know how to describe, and I think that means that the deck would be good for me?
Oh, you fake witches can't curse anyone, since you guys are fake.
haha, yes. i am very fake.
sorry i lied to you guys, i’m not a real witch. just a poser.
Now I’m playing that scene from Princess Bride in my head. Makes me wanna jump on the laptop and reply with gifs of the entire scene.
