Welcome to Kreagan Valley, home of Callie Cooper.
āNOW EVERYTHING LOOKS JUST LIKE A HORROR CARTOON,
AND IāM THINKING OF SOMETHING THAT I KNOW I SHOULDNāT DO.ā
Somethingās not quite right
Callie didnāt find the Institute during college and instead found herself in jail for hacking into a million other databases. Sheās still the most intelligent, but sheās the family disappointment. At least she was up until she ādiedā.
Callie Cooper had always been different from her goody-two-shoes little brother, Cameron Cooper, and no matter how much Christian Cooper proved that his genes were literally scraped from the bottom of the gutter, nothing could change the fact that the girl with all the potential in the world was jailed for hacking into the FBI, the CIA, the BAU; basically, if it had an abbreviation, Callie hacked it. It was the CIA that got to her first and they provided her with the classic choice; work with us or spend a lifetime in jail. Being too proud for her own good, Callie chose the life in jail. There was no way in hell she would ever be working for such a corrupt system and, frankly, she already had an escape plan.
It didnāt take her long to break out of her cell, but from that day onward she was a wanted woman. Going home wasnāt an option. See, as awful as she was, Callie still loved her family and she couldnāt ask them to lie for her. They couldnāt become accomplices in her crimes. So she worked on changing her identity and just as she was about to board a plane to Europe, she found it; the Institute. You would think she would have learned her lesson, but no. Callie was still as curious as ever and soon she was so deep inside their database that she couldnāt even cover her tracks anymore. They found her. She had expected to be sent to jail again, but instead they hit her with a much different option; work with us or die. What they didnāt tell her was that it didnāt matter what she chose. The second she agreed to go with them, they were already setting up her fake death. Evidentially, the Institute wasnāt prepared to work with a wanted criminal. It was too much hassle than it was worth and her objections meant nothing to them.
So there she was, stuck exactly where she didnāt want to be. It wasnāt all that bad. Some people were tolerable and she was even able to get a message to her little brother letting him know that she hadnāt died. At least she hadnāt at that point. Callie was just walking from her lab to get a soda when it happened; Piper Renderos had escaped. Those moments were a blur, but she can remember the girlās fangs sinking into her neck before everything went blank. Callie woke a few days later with an insane thirst and a confession from the Institute that they had brought her back; as a vampire. She was too great an asset and they couldnāt let her go and now she was even more valuable to them. A year has passed since she was changed and the vampire who turned her still hasnāt been found. However, it seems Piper may have resurfaced and, under the supervising eyes of another vampire, Agent Alex Andrews, Callie has been sent back to Kreagan Valley to help bring her maker back in. Callie has other plans, but she never was much of a field agent.
