The Ross family were serious about being hunters

So serious that Veronica didn’t have time for much else growing up. Sure, she could have hobbies, but only if they furthered skills that would help her become a better huntress. She joined the track team, took mixed martial arts classes and still made sure to train with her parents. She could like science and medicine all she wanted, but med school wouldn’t pave the way to her one and true future, so that was a dream she had to give up early.

What she did end up doing was join the police force to please her parents until she could make enough money to move away from them once and for all. But old habits die hard, and she continued hunting supernatural creatures while no one was watching. And that was how the Institute found her and offered her work as an agent. Which figures, really. Hunting was in her blood.

It’s how she met Chuck Caulfield, anyhow. Her social skills leave something to be desired, but even so, Chuck was able to work through that and they have a pretty good friendship going. Good enough that Chuck appointed Veronica as Carmen Caulfield’s godmother, an honor that she doesn’t take lightly. As much as she resents her own family, she knows how important it is that Carmen grows up with love and support.

Oh good. Yeah, I’m just seeing this as a whole way to experience life in a new way and experiment in all sorts of new ways and stuff. You know, being open and stuff. That’s my mantra if I believed in mantras. That is an excellent pick up line. I’ll have to remember it for the future. Yeah. Lulu is great. She’s one of my favorites.

Then by all means, do continue. I’m definitely an advocate for experiencing life to the fullest and all that. You never know who you really are until you push yourself out of your own comfort zone and really break boundaries. It’s only excellent if it’s working. I’m glad we’re on the same page. Good point. Well, I like to think I have some skills to offer as far as medical training goes, but the bandaid sure is a classic one. Have you? Is there any particular... reason for that?

Transferred? Here? Why– Why would they, we don’t– I mean the trauma department is lacking, but we don’t need you.
