omori doodles from october. i love love love hellmari's design so much, such good body horror! i just find the way sunny imagines his sister as either super sweet and loving and perfect to further demonize himself as a murderer or this nightmare who hunts him down and haunts his every moment, watching and judging. i think mari would've forgiven him if she was still alive, but it's clear that he doesn't. that idea is just impossible to reconcile with everything he's believed for the past four years...

been meaning to share some of my omori stuff here for a while that portrait of sunny at the beginning was from back in september, and when i shared it with some friends on discord they commented that you can really feel the depression, it radiates off the screen. so i think i did a pretty good job! i think a lot about basil's grandma, even though she's kind of a minor character. i wonder if she knew the truth

#omori #yeah i think some art for the funny trauma demons game is long overdue. every time i play it it just hits harder and harder #sunny #basil #posting fan art for a new thing for the first time is always a little daunting because like... i dunno #i just kick in the door and yell that there's a new game i'm obsessed with #but honestly i should just chill out #really i'm more embarrassed that i don't ever post any original work #anyways i have more omori sketches tucked away in my sketchbook so

loosely inspired by these very cool angel noelle drawings by Marnie

i couldn't stop thinking about how much i would love a confrontation between a version of noelle whose lost herself in this role of the prophecised angel, and berdly, who has nothing except the fact that he is her friend. this person with all of this incredible cosmic importance vs. someone who was maybe never even meant to be a part of this story to begin with, considering he's not one of the three delta warriors and the angel role is already taken. and he's also probably scared out of his mind, but he's gonna stay determined and reach out to her anyway. she has to be in there somewhere.

noelle and berdly's friendship is really important to me personally, both in spite of and because of how dysfunctional it is. i know that it will probably never resolve in a manner quite this dramatic, and i can't even say for sure how interested the actual narrative of deltarune is in it, at least relative to stuff like noelle's friendship with kris. but damn it, they matter to me. so i just had to excorcise this one from my brain.
