I am not inspired, inspirational or romanticized. I am none of the things you need. I am a few of the things you want. In addition to those, I am selfish, brutally honest and irrational. I am less than what you want. I fall short of perfect everyday. I don’t think I will ever achieve perfection - in your eyes or mine. I am better than what you had, I may not be what you want forever, at least I was what you wanted for awhile, hopefully that will be enough.

Trump bragged on Twitter that he saved Christmas, because of course he did

Trump isn’t even in office yet, but he’s taking credit for all sorts of things — even the gifts you bought for family and friends.

Trump’s tweet isn’t even factually correct.

His claim about increased Christmas spending comes from a pre-Christmas survey from the consulting firm Deloitte.

Meanwhile, data on holiday spending, published by the Economist, actually found retail spending during the holiday season is down,

Remember those numbers. She got roughly 2.8 million votes more than Trump.

This wasn’t a squeaker where the popular vote winner got a few thousand more than the electoral vote winner.

She won by millions of votes.

2.8 million voters effectively disenfranchised by a quirk of the electoral college system.

And tomorrow,the Electoral College will show that the political theory underlying Federalist No. 68, which we were taught in civics classes as practically the remaining justification for maintaining the Electoral College system, is ultimately a sham … an idealistic fairy tale.

Guys, please help this little guy if you can! 💜💜#Repost @muddypawsrescuenyc with @repostapp ・・・ Hi MPR followers - Muddy Paws founder here. I usually rely on our awesome volunteer Samantha to maintain our IG account (👏👏 thank you Samantha!), but this time I'd like to personally ask for your help. The pup you see here is Sullivan, and tonight he is not nearly this comfortable, as he is hospitalized with parvovirus. We do not ask for donations all the time, and we try to be responsible about the number of dogs we take and the amount of medical bills we can handle so that we don't have to rely on others. Generally, we are able to do so. But these past few months have been very rough for us. Despite taking all necessary precautions, we have had a parvo outbreak (all but one of nine pups made it through thanks to our awesome vets!), a senior lab with cancer (who is now happily adopted!), a few cases of pneumonia, and even an adult dog with parvo which is very rarely seen. We have paid upwards of $35k in medical bills, and we are happy to do so because the pups needed it. We have also paid over $5k in training bills for a few dogs, some of whom are now happily adopted, and some of whom are still waiting. This weekend, Sullivan got unlucky. He does not deserve to be sick, but parvo does not care what he has already been through in his short life. He is under the great care of @amcny, and slowly making strides to beat this relentless virus. We will cover his bill because that's what rescue is about, but his amazing foster parents have also started a fundraising campaign for him, and I wanted to share it with you. If you can spare even a few dollars, Sullivan and I would greatly appreciate it. Any funds raised over the cost of his bill will go directly back towards helping other #muddypawspack members.
