Ezra didn’t like to think about his childhood. It wasn’t that he still held onto his same childish fears, but for a long time things had been rough and uncertain, and he liked to think he was past all of that now. For a while, after he’d gone back to his brother, Ezra had felt nervous that at any second he’d be torn away from his siblings again. But eventually the nerves had subsided, and he’d thought they were finally past all of that. So why think about it now? It was over. It was the past. There was no reason to worry about things that already happened. “Good tap isn’t so bad. It’s not like what they show in stupid movies and stuff,” he reasoned with a smile. “But we’ll start her with something a little quieter, so don’t worry about it too much.” He didn’t look at his phone again, wrinkling his nose when Quinn asked if it was an old connection. “Yeah, something like that. She says we were fostered together for a while.”
No matter how much time had passed, Quinn in many ways still felt responsible for his siblings. He had tried to make sure for soo long they would be together and that they would be okay. There had been a lot of damage done to them, but he knew even if thing’s hadn’t been perfect; they were better than what could have been. Quinn had to take some comfort in the fact they were at least all together now and weren’t lost as a family. “ What do they show in movies?’ Quinn asked with a smile unsure what he meant. “What am I missing in movies?” He added. “ I appreciate that. I’m not sure my floors could handle tap. “Quinn’s expression shifted at the mention of the girl again. He was curious in a lot of ways about what had happened back then. “ Do you remember her from back then?”
