Attention every artists!!
ACGGOODS is here!!
Okay, hear me out. Actually Cook is the imposter, the alien is just either hiding inside or waiting until it's safe to return and start killing crewmates. It's like Danganronpa! (I haven't played the game but there's a similar plot twist there, right?)
So ummm. Cook the imposter and the Guard will watch as the person they trusted the most turns into a monster. So... Yes.
Cook must be very important to the story either as an alien or as part of Guard's experiences (ALIEN ALIEN ALIEN) because there is NO reason to include a fried egg in the game's main image.
Either I’m losing my mind. it’s the deep of night as I write this.
intruso (justiceserved)
Hmmmm.
Aw man who's gonna make boiled toast now
also just an idea
Based on that one tumblr heritage post (below) Out of context this is like impossible to explain to someone that doesn't know tf2 lore. Tom Jones is there
someone requested scientist x guard...interesting.
Among Us Story: On Guard theory
Management is an imposter.
Listen, I know that sounds ridiculous, but hear me out here. Think about the kinds of things the simulation is actually teaching. Crawling through vents, making use of blackouts, escaping ejections, sneaking around the ship, even sabotaging the reactor. I think that the real purpose of the simulation is to trick crewmates into learning skills useful for an imposter. Because while the things that Guard is doing make sense for their extremely specific circumstances, why would that be what gets into a simulation? For a simulation, it would make much more sense to go with more likely and less specific scenarios.
Instances of Management being sus. And if I'm right about the purpose of the simulation then in the second picture, Management is just seething because they want to kill but can't, both because it would be super obvious but also because the whole point of this is to prepare Operator to become an imposter. Which is just so funny to imagine. Hurry up and get in the simulation already!
Also, the dev stream mentioned that there would be a twist that would flip the whole game on its head.
Adding to this, the steam page suggests the possibility of multiple imposters.
Now, I don't think there's going to be multiple imposters among the simulation crew due to how small it is. One imposter would make the most sense for a simulated crew of six, especially with one dying right off the bat. But what if there was a second imposter outside the simulation?
Anyways I could just be grasping at straws here but if I do end up being right, it's gonna feel so good.
