Like yeah I struggle to connect with people on a deeper level but I'm aquianted with anyone who will listen to me.

Yeah I don't have social anxiety when it comes to speaking in public or ordering food or just talking to strangers but I can't make eye contact.

Yeah I'll talk to anyone who will listen, but I'm completely incapable of telling when they aren't interested in what I'm saying.

Yeah I always wanna hang out with my friends but when I do all we do is parallel play and info dump to eachother.

Yeah I love going to places with large groups of people (such as conventions, concerts, and parties) but I always need like 3 days to recover from them.

I'm just sick of media and autism awareness creators always portraying us as like- shy and introverted and hating/being completely unable to understand social interaction and never being able to make friends. Struggling with social cues and interaction ≠ hating social interaction. Like I get that's probably true for some autistic people but not all of us are like that ig.
