I’m officially a mom now. Which is insane.
This morning I woke up to pee(no surprise there) a little after 4 am. After I went back to bed I felt some leaking. For a second I actually thought I was peeing myself (lol) so I went back to the bathroom and I couldn’t really tell so I called my doctors office and spoke with the doctor on call. She told me to wait about 30 minutes and see if I leak more and if I did to go into the hospital. So I thanked her, hung up, leaned back on the bed, and a waterfall came out of me. So obviously I woke up David and we gathered the last of what we wanted to take to the hospital (our bags were already packed and in the car, we were just missing like toiletries and whatnot). We got to the hospital at about 5 am, they checked and confirmed that it was my water that had broken and we got admitted and in a room a little after 6 am. They gave me pictocin to get contractions started because I hadn’t been having any at all, and finally at 5:13pm Finn was born! I cried. David cried. Finn cried. Now it’s almost 2:30am and I can’t sleep because I just can’t stop looking at him. I do keep dozing off from time to time but then he makes a little noise in his sleep and I’m instantly awake. Also, my vagina hurts and is making it impossible for me to get comfortable enough to really fall asleep. I have a 2nd degree tear and apparently it’s a weird one. Instead of tearing straight down from my vagina towards my butt, it goes down and then splits horizontally. So it’s kind of “Y” shaped, which is fun. But I don’t even care. Finn is here and he’s healthy and precious and perfect. I brought my camera so I can take some picture of him while we’re here so once I have them edited I’ll consider attaching them to this post but we’ll see. I’m just so happy.
