three people decorating a christmas tree was truly something special, why? because all three of them had the attention span of a goldfish, according to lily that is. she would one hundred percent tell you that just as she was lost in her thoughts half the time, so were the other two with her and she couldn't blame them. their relationship wasn't easy. no, in fact, she didn't know of anyone who would be in a relationship with four other people. a throuple? okay, she understood that, but four other people? people with entirely different personalities and views on shit? yeah, some crazy shit like that would only be possible if the five of them were involved. it was true that sometimes they wanted to strangle one another but they would also put their lives on the line for each other. they were, for lack of better words, were the most unhealthy, healthiest relationship. she loved it and she loved the idiots with every single fiber of her being. it was why she was here, helping the other two put up stupid decorations on the christmas tree that they spent five hours looking for and then a whole hour cutting down because "the tree is going to fall on us if you cut it that way jeremy!!" god forgive her for caring about her life and caits, but regardless of that, for once did their lives seem at peace, no drama, no tip toeing around meredith and jeremy, cait not trying to burn the house down while loren is in it, and she wasn't drinking herself stupid while trying to keep up with lorens drinking -- for once. it was nice. it was perfect. it was welcomed. 

"you guys should have put on those nice little mrs. clause outfits and made this day of abuse a whole lot better," jeremy chimed in, tangled in christmas lights. deciding it was time for a break, lily took a seat on the couch. she watched as her boyfriend and her girlfriend continued to decorate their christmas tree, a content smile on her lips.  “don’t forget to leave the angel ballerina for meredith to put up on the tree,” she said, taking a sip from the wine they had earlier set out. truthfully, it was a ballerina, cait and jeremy just decided to add wings on it to resemble their angel..meredith. jeremy would one hundred percent deny he had any part on it -- unless mere wasn’t mad at him, then he would one hundred percent tell her that it was his idea and the girls found the glue. 

as the other two joined her on the couch, lily rested her head on cait’s shoulder, as jeremy laid his head on her lap, her hands immediately running through his hair. “ wait --- isn’t meredith jewish?” jeremy questioned, a laugh falling from the girls lips.
