Forever the type to drop in and bother his friends, Vitus had ducked into Mods on a whim that day, searching for a free moment to check in with Grey, maybe talk about a new design. He found Callum in the front foyer first, and a warm smile spread across his face. Vitus didn't know Callum as well as he knew some of the others, but perhaps this was his opportunity to change that.
"Hey. Just stopping in for a consult. Is Grey in today?" he asked, curiosity pulling his gaze toward the hall leading deeper into the shop.
Callum knew Vitus very briefly, but he was always kind and seemed to be pretty outgoing. He smiled at him, taking a sip of his coffee he previously made. He was actually one who insisted on coffee machine and bought it, even though he would be still buying the coffee outside. His mother would be probably shocked by this behavior, as she was always telling there is no use of buying things if you are not using them regularly.
"Hi, Vitus, what's up? Well, I saw him a minute ago, I think he went to buy some coffee. Although we have it here as well."
Greyson laughed at the greeting, knowing that it was easy to go into immediate customer service mode upon someone entering. "Don't know what you can do, but you can stop making everyone else look bad by showing up to the shop early," he joked, pulling his sunglasses off. In his other hand, he held a to go container of drinks.
"I brought some coffees," he said, making sure to clear a spot on the front desk before placing them down. "Figured it would be one of those mornings." Grey had been working at Mods for such a long time that he sauntered in with confidence he didn't have most places.
Callum smiled as he noticed Grey coming in. Grey was one of his co workers, after all. Working with him was so good and easy going which was very good. Callum already had some years of experience and he has been working with lot of kind of people. Grey definitely was a refreshment.
"Oh, that's good. I was actually thinking to go and buy one myself. It is not going to be too busy for me today, it seems. How about you?"
Ryder had become interest in tattoos years ago, back when he had first started traveling and was looking for a different way to display art. On his body, this time around, but it had seemed to make sense. He admired the work that tattoo artists did, mostly because he had spent so much time around them outside of the studio that it was nice to see them get creative.
"I'm good, just killing some time before I have work later. The usual," sometimes it was nice to bug his friends, find something to keep himself busy if he didn't have his own art to work on, waiting for him at home in the garage studio. "Yeah, cool," he smiled, sitting up a little bit and reaching for the pages that Callum was referencing, looking over what he had been working on, and nodding his head. "These are really good, man, and you just finished up a job, from the looks of it?" he gestured towards the client he had been working on.
Callum wouldn't change his job for anything in this world. He loved to be a tattoo artist and that was his true call indeed. He could understand when people are interested in tattoos. To be honest, it was a bit addicted as well. Callum can remember like it was yesterday when he got his first tattoo. It was a memorial one for his grandpa and he is still very proud of it, although he didn't do it himself obviously.
"Yes, I am finished for now. I am actually here only for an hour more. Maybe I'll stay a bit later, who knows who will come with ideas for a new tattoo."
Joella, being a bit of a rebel in her day, had a few tattoos. She felt it was a part of her personality and, that suited her pretty well. Thankfully, she had pretty good coverup so that she could hide the obvious ones during work. Her outfits showed a lot of skin, and Jo had a lot of tattoos.
"Hi," Joella said as she walked in, glancing up at the wall filled with designs. She leaned her head to the side. "I'm here to get another one," she chuckled. "Tattoo, that is," her lips pulled up into a smile. "Which ones of these designs are yours?"
If Callum liked something, he liked the people who came in and choose something he made. This girl seemed like she had some experience with tattoos which is always a good sign. He smiled at her politely and looked at the sketches she was talking about. They were all his, actually, and he was pretty proud of them. He would be doing them in his free time, as drawing and sketching was something he liked a lot.
"Hi there. In fact, they are all mine. I just brought them here few days ago. Which one of them do you like the most?"
Ryder probably spent a little too much time at Mods, between getting tattoos, picking on Emeline, popping in to say hi to Alec, or parking his ass on one of the couches after work, waiting not-so-patiently for Greyson to get off of work so that he could bug his cousin endlessly to go grab something to eat. But he did like the little shop; he liked the kind of people that were in and out, the ones that he knew by name and could always say hello to.
"Hey, Callum," he lifted his hand in greeting as he made his way inside, flopping down on the couch as usual. "I just thought I'd stop by to bug Greyson, but I think I missed him... as usual," alright, so maybe he didn't have his cousin's schedule perfectly memorized or anything just yet.
"What are you up to today? Busy?" He glanced around the shop before looking back over at the other man. "Do any extra awesome tattoos lately?"
Callum, as usual, had a quite busy day. He would kill for some cold beer now, but he knew it will need to wait until he's finished. Callum knew Owen for a longer time now. He didn't know everyone in the town, but he knew him through Grey. They were cousins and it seemed like they are pretty close.
Finishing up his client, Callum just smiled proudly, as tattoo he made was actually 3 hour work. He enjoyed every bit of his job, but making big tattoos was definitely his favorite. That's why he became tattoo artist in the first place.
"Hi, Owen, how are you doing? Well, it was quite busy until now, I have a bit of free time now. Well, I have some sketches ready there if you wanna take a look."
DEACON DOESN'T HAVE A WIDE ARRAY OF TATTOOS TO BOAST OF. he isn't the biggest fan of needles, though he has a few small pieces scattered around the obscure parts of his body. being friends with a tattoo artist, however, has the thought of him getting inked again cross his mind, especially when he comes over callum's place of work.
"hi, can i get, uh... a playboy bunny tattooed on my ass?" he grins mischievously as he plops onto the vacant leather chair in front of callum. he can see the way the receptionist is glaring at him from behind her desk. she looks like she's summoning the spirits of the netherworld with her smudged eyeliner and the silver rings in her brows. deacon only flashes her a wry smile. "i'm just takin' him out to lunch, geez louise. 'less you wanna come with?" she sticks out her tongue, revealing a tongue stud, and two middle fingers up in the air. this makes him laugh, genuinely, but ignores her for the most part and turns back towards callum. "ready to go?"
Callum did have all kinds of tattoo request so this wasn't something unusual. Only he hoped that this guy already had some tattoos. As tattoo artist for a years now, Callum knew what are the most painful spot and tattooing your bottom part was indeed one of them.
"Sure, no problem at all. This is not your first tattoo, right?" He asked, just to make sure. Callum had a history of people who would change their mind in the last minute. Not as much, but it still happen a good few times, and usually on most painful spots.
"I am ready whenever you are."
It wasn't the busiest time in the day as it was only an early morning. Callum liked his job indeed, it was helping him through his rough period as well. He certainly could do something else, but he had no interest in anything else as much as he had for tattooing. He was always talented artist so that might be one of the reason to pursue it as a career.
Callum liked this little town, it was his salvation, after all. Of course, he did miss his family but he knew there wasn't another option for him at the moment. He was enjoying his peace and he wasn't really involved in gossiping or that kind of things. He heard the bell on the door and that interrupt his thoughts.

BACKGROUND / BIO
triggering / sensitive content: alcohol/drug abuse in past.
Callum was born in Barcelona and lived there for a few years. Then his parents decided to move to England, where he was actually growing up. He liked to live there, despite of the weather, at least when he was younger. He was good in school even though he wasn't really ambitious. Callum was showing his perfectionism even when he was a teenager. He was very talented for the arts and music, so he always knew he will do something close to that.
When he was in school, he used to go to the classes of singing and he knows how to play piano and guitar. Although he liked the music and playing the instruments, it was more of his mother wish then his own. His mum was always dreaming about being a famous singer or pianist, which wasn't Callum's dream at all. He was still attending the classes and played in the school as well as long as it will make his mum happy.
Callum really grew up being very close to both of his parents, as well as his brother Lucius and sister Norah. His childhood and school days were more than happy and he couldn't ever ask for more. Despite of that, he did have drug problem as well as alcohol problem. It happened because of people who were hanging out with him and he just didn't want to be different. That really disappoint his parents in a way, although they are still there for him.
He never went to rehab, but he stopped it as it wasn't doing any good for him. Then he decided to attend the classes to become a professional tattoo artist. As he was very talented in arts, he found it very easy and he loves to do tattoos. His mum thought he would go on a music path, but Callum really thought this is the best decision for him.
He moved to Merrock 5 years ago, together with his brother and sister. He is now planning to open his own tattoo shop and live his life to a fullest. The job is going great, but his love life is a kind of a mess. Before he moved, he was in a long relationship with a guy who hurt him a lot. That is why Callum doesn't want to get involved with anyone, unless it is a friendship.
