oh absolutely. in the context of Clair de Lune at least, there was a brief period between when they left home and when Bowser took them in, and ludwig was basically the parent for that time

First off I wanted to say that your Koopaling art and fanfics are genuinely some of the most high quality and passion driven works I’ve seen in the fandom in a looooong time. Finding your account for the first is what genuinely and partially kept me going in some of my darkest moments bc I know you love and put so much of your heart and energy into whatever you create.

augugh thank you so much <:] im really happy my silly drawings and ramblings are that meaningful to people to that extent, it really makes it worth it. ive said before but NSMB Wii was one of my first video games ever and ive always been really attached to the Koopalings, so revisiting them as an adult has been really cathartic and fun

as for ludwig headcanons, i think his music taste is more diverse than he lets on. he prefers classical most of the time, but i think hed enjoy stuff like jazz and musicals. i can see him enjoying stuff like Phantom of the Opera

I also think hes got perfect pitch and is a good singer. learning music from a young age makes it easier to develop perfect pitch, and I think ludwig would be dedicated enough to learn it (perfect pitch isnt an innate thing youre born with, thats a common misconception! i also developed it from learning piano when i was young)

How many chapters of Clair De Lune do you intend on making?

However many I need to tell the story! I dont really plan based on chapter numbers, I just plan the plot out and feel out where it feels like a chapter Should end based on vibes and pacing. I will say though, the story is nearing its climax. Giggles maniacally

Just wanna say, that I love how in chapter five you had Ludwig stand there quiet, frozen in fear. Specifically, because it absolutely contrasts Iggy's response of laughing due to stress/trauma, perfectly.

It makes Ludwig look like the "calm level headed older brother" but he is actually as scared as Iggy is.

And I love that >:)

i looooove when people pick up on stuff like this because i write it all deliberately and i love seeing peoples reactions.

my other favorite detail about that scene in particular is that iggy stops laughing when roy comes in to defend him, because he was fully expecting bowser to just keep pummeling him, and thats what he wanted. he told himself he didnt want anybody to step in and defend him because this was his punishment for fucking up so bad, but when it set in that ludwig Didnt step in at all? lets just say that relationships gonna need a lot of mending when all this is over
