Thanks for sticking around even when I don’t draw/paint fanart. I’m trying to build up a traditional portfolio after years of not having an updated one and I’ve painted so much in the last week and a half it’s like a switch in my brain flipped and I suddenly felt ready to attempt to tackle complex subjects

Refilled the palette :o) it’s old and well used so it looks a little rough and unkempt even tho I just did maintenance, but it’s my prized possession and I love it

#I generally fill my pans A LOT because I love being able to use the whole side of a brush to pick up pigment #and as my art has gotten physically bigger than just 1’’x1’’ doodles I’ve grown to dislike half pans #so full pans have my heart rn and this palette is a fave #even tho I sorta ran out of room hehe #unsurprisingly the greens blues and neutrals needed refilling. I go thru SO MUCH paynes gray #anyways #al chatters #I could talk abt paint all day #if anyone asks me about my many palettes I will explain them. I will swatch them FOR U and list the colors #so plz don’t be shy if you’re curious #watercolor #watercolour

did some very challenging but unsuccessful studies this evening- learned a lot but didn’t make anything I was proud of. So I returned to my roots by swatching random colors and refilling my palette where it was getting empty and now I’m remembering why I loved watercolor even when I wasn’t any good at it: it’s so soothing to just watch paint run and bloom on paper and satisfying to organize paint tubes

Oh my cod I just found you through your httyd art and I love it all so much!! I was incredibly super ultra hyperfixated on them when I was younger but could never find anyone else who liked them so I would just listen to the audiobooks on repeat while drawing crappy fanart and finding other people who like them feels so vindicating!! Sorry for rambling I'm just excited ^^'
