OOC everyone ill pick back up tomorrow i swear i had a swim meet tonight so ill be back at it tomorrow, i need a good nights sleep :)
Quality time | Callum & Nora
Nora nodded, sitting with her legs crossed on the bed beside Callum, trying not to seem too giddy that he was here and they were hanging out. She watched Cal lose comfort and awkwardly rub his arm, she knew that she had to figure out a way to let him know that she was comfortable.
"I didn’t have anything too special in mind. I’ll be honest with you Cal, I just wanted to spend a little… quality time with you," as the words escaped her mouth she couldn’t help but bite her lip softly, and slowly graze hand against Callum’s arm, feeling a small shiver go through her body as they made contact. Her eyes widened as she looked straight in to his, "Did you have any ideas, Cal? I don’t want you to feel like I’m imposing anything on you. We might not have the same type of thing in mind."
Her skin was getting hotter underneath her clothes as she thought not so nice things about what she would prefer Cal to be doing and wearing. Nora hadn’t done anything like this in over two weeks, when Clark had been here, and a girl had needs. Not that Nora had been comparing the two boys, but she totally had been; Callum was at least a half a foot taller than Clark and he probably looked much better shirtless. The first one Nora was sure for a fact, and the second Nora was intent on finding out in the next five minutes.
Cal focused sharply on her hand on his arm and looked right at her, "You know what, I don't think you'd be imposing anything on me if you decided to do something. I've always been fairly bad at coming up with things to do." He thought hard about his words before speaking, not wanting to sound too boy-ish and jumpy or too unwilling. He hoped desperately that she wanted to get things going between them, but even if she didn't, with her hand on his arm, he was content.
"I think whatever you can come up with will be quality time, and I'm almost positive we have the same thing in mind." Callum blurted out confidently, even though he had no clue if they had the same thing in mind at all. He had much more to say, like how pretty she looked or how much prettier she'd look with her clothes on the floor, but rather than speaking his mind, he focused on trying to keep the thoughts out of his head.
He turned his head slowly to look at her, and he studied her features carefully, lingering for a moment more on her lips, strongly wondering what it was like to have his lips on hers. He carefully moved his hand from his knee to hers, and gave her a casual half smile. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable with his touchiness, but he could hardly look at her without wanting some sort of contact. His eyes traveled from her face down to his hand before he moved it back and forth, rubbing her leg softly.
Quality time | Callum & Nora
Nora didn’t know exactly what had come over her while she was talking to Callum, but she had liked the way it made her feel. She wasn’t going to back out of anything unless it made Callum uncomfortable, but she wasn’t exactly sure what she had gotten herself into. Callum was generally a nervous boy and Nora hoped that she didn’t make him scared. She really liked him, and she was also working on ways to get back at Clark. Not that that was the reason that she had invited Callum over, but it certainly wasn’t a drawback. Even if Clark never heard about Callum, but Nora was going to make sure that he did, then she would still feel like this was a way of sticking it to him.
Nora jumped up off of where she had been sitting on her bed and looked at herself in the mirror. Earlier that day she had gone out and had coffee with a girl in her Spanish class, so she still looked cute. Her jeans were tight, her shirt was white, and her make up was perfection. If this didn’t Callum then she didn’t know what was going to. It helped that he liked her, and that he was one of the most attractive guys she had ever seen. Yep, Nora knew that this was going to be easy. The first step was making Callum as comfortable as possible. Nora was sure that she would likely have to make the first move, but the move couldn’t be too strong; probably more like a hint.
As she heard the knocks at the door Nora was surprised at how hard the knocks were, they weren’t as nervous as she had been expecting them to be which made Nora hopeful. If he was confident to knock on the door then he would probably be confident enough to liven up his Labor Day. This was one time when Nora was happy that her roommate was not in the room, Thalia always left early in the morning and came back late at night and Nora tried not to take it personally. Nora had texted Thalia two emoticons: one of a door and the other of a sock, hoping that she would get the clue. Nora also thought that she was being clever which made her smile.
Nora walked slowly to the door, a small smile on her face, as she twisted the door knob and opened the door she bit her lip but allowed her smile to widen. “Hi Cal,” she took a step toward him and wrapped her small arms around him in a hug, “I haven’t seen you in a couple of days.” Nora pulled apart and smiled up at him with wide eyes “I missed you.” She moved over to the side of the door way to give him space to get in, “Come in.”
"Hi Nora," Cal smiled down at the stunning girl in front of him, "I know, that's my fault. I've been up to my eyes in schoolwork. I missed you too." He grinned to himself, realizing that Nora had noticed his absence from his social life. He shuffled into her room and sat softly down on her bed, looking over at her to make sure it was okay. He recalled the last time he had been over to her dorm, remembering it was the day he took her out for a picnic. He put all of his effort into keeping himself from smiling over the memory.
"So, today's been pretty slow." He commented quietly, looking down at his shoes. He didn't feel particularly awkward, just wanting to be around her. His nerves were still on a high, but he could easily settle them just by looking at Nora. She had invited him over, he wasn't imposing himself on her. Callum rubbed his upper arm, at a loss for words. He truly didn't know what to say at this point, and that was when the awkward feeling set in.
He thought carefully about the contents of his pockets and he immediately just wanted to leave her room, embarrassed that he even thought that would happen. Cal closed his eyes for a minute, bringing himself back down to normal, trying not to become overwhelmed. "So, what did you have in mind to do today?"
Quality time | Callum & Nora
Cal took a deep sigh and ran his hand through his hair. He thought briefly about a piece of advice given to him by his friend Andrew one time. That if you didn't get nervous to hang around a girl, she wasn't the one to hang around. Of course Cal never got to apply that to his life until now, and he was very bittersweet about the waves of nerves rushing through his body. He stuck his hands in his pockets, and began his short walk to Nora's dorm.
He strolled along, trying to pay no attention to the square wrapper that his hand brushed incessantly against. He doubted it would come to good use but he didn't want to ruin anything. Cal tipped his head back, staring up at the ceiling as he walked along, not wanting to seem so out of place. He couldn't help but feel jitters as he made came up the last flight of stairs.
When his eyes locked onto her door, he got a chill straight down his back. Hoping his obvious nerves wouldn't make Nora feel awkward, he covered the last few yards to her dorm. Hand shaking, he lifted his fist to the door and made a few strong knocks. This was happening, he had hung out with Nora before, why be so nervous now?
I’ll try to think of something then for me to liven up your Labor Day. If you want to come by my dorm then we can hang out. If something better comes along, I’ll totally understand. I’ll be very upset, but I’ll still understand.
Trust me, nothing better will come along. I'll be right on my way.
I highly doubt that, I bet that I could think of some things that you definitely aren’t ready for.
Hm, well ready or not I know I'll definitely be up for it
I’m not going to brag or anything but I can definitely do fun.
Exciting, exciting. You seem like a fun enough person.
this is the best thing i’ve seen in my entire life
Fun is a two-way street, but I’m game if you are.
Me, game, totally. I'm up for whatever you have to throw at me
It’s labor day? Wow, I got ready for school and we don’t even have it.
Nice, nice. I almost did, but then I realized I woke up at 3 in the afternoon.
So....someone want to show me a fun labor day?
