MARINA SANTOS.
She didnât even need to mention Cal before Victor had inputed his opinion, not resisting a proud brother moment. He had always been quite protective of Marina and would always be. So hearing his approval, it had been everything and more necessary from him. If the family could approve, Marina knew nothing but her undying happiness with Cal would be worth it. âMy grandmother starting guessing random celebrities. Not half off, seeing you are a basketball player.â She laughed, remembering the moment where laughter filled the room, âIt makes more sense now. But hey, I love that beard on you. Anything would look good on you. This is what you get when you are attractive.â Marina would remember her week, well worth it even though she missed him. But, she was back and nothing would pull her away from him now. Hearing those next words caused her to beam, helplessly falling deeper for him with words like that, âGood. So do I.â She answers happily, not bothered by the toys everywhere. âNo, please, you donât need to apologize ever. I totally get it. How is your mom?â
It amazed him how easily his smile was back on his face and didnât fade ever since she walked through the door. Laughing too, but he always found himself in a happy place whenever she was around. âYour grandmother sounds like a person with a good feeling for things. Real intuitive.â He grinned at her, âSo, Victor didnât tell her she wasnât so far off then?â He didnât mind that only a few people knew about them so far, seeing as they werenât all that official just yet. âYouâre talking about how attractive I am?â a laugh, âDo you know just how hard it is to be around you? I can barely keep my hands away from you.â And she was honestly so beautiful, it was almost crazy how much. âMom is getting by. I wouldnât say sheâd doing good, but sheâs coping. But honestly, I donât want to talk too much about all that. Iâd much rather talk about us.â
