Davis: Couple days. I'll text you when it's a good time?
Marina: Incredible! Text me whenever, I hope you two enjoy the moment :)
─ ZIGGY KNOX.
The quick tempoed beat of Earth, Wind and Fire’s September, drummed through Ziggy’s earphones, blocking out all other sounds, and leaving her immersed in the music. She was comfortably high, the wrapper of the Jolly Rancher edible she had taken earlier, lying crumpled in her jean pocket. Eyes closed and hips swaying, the woman was lost in her own world as she danced in the park.
It wasn’t until the song ended that she opened her eyes to see someone standing there. They were, understandably, watching her, and a wide grim spread across her features. Pulling one earphone out, she half shouted,
“Hey there, stranger!”
Marina knew she verbally promised Milo to take him to the park. Speaking to a dog, it must’ve been funny. But her dog-son, the one she happens to share with her boyfriend deserved nothing but the outmost attention. Walking the pup around the park, a smile beamed on her face and watching Milo go up sniffing other dogs. It was an incredible day. The further they walked, she stopped in her tracks and watching the show of the woman dancing. A soft chuckle leaving her lips. “Hey there!” She half shouted back, hues focusing upon Milo - now laying upon the grass and enjoying the moment break. “What’s the song caused those moves to come out?”
─ SERENITY JACKSON.
The blonde couldn’t help but to chuckle as the brunette mentioned it being a start to signing papers. “You damn right it is, I want someone to ask me what’s that when I sign my name. Let them, i’ll tell ‘em. I married my husband….twice.” She laughed gently rolling her head side to side. When the other mentioned laser tag, or the amusement park, the blonde then slapped her cheeks together. Of all the people she had spoken to, none have mentioned those two. Bringing her hand down she smacked the table, the biggest, brightest smile appeared on her lips. “Your a genius, a fucking genius I tell you. Let’s do this. Like right now, let’s go.”
It had been an interesting thought, something Marina simply played around with Serenity. It could confuse people, simply to see their reactions. “You know it’s a catch when you tell someone that and they get confused. Yes, people get remarried twice. I think some people seem to forget that. But, you are quite a legend.” She admits with laughter, meaning it overall with genuine words. When it came to answering Serenity’s question, she had thought long and hard how Marina would love something simple, definitely not near the aspect of male strippers being involved. Effortlessly, her smile happens to widen at the reaction being received before sighing happily, “Hey, I’ve thought long and hard over how I would like my bachelorette party. Laser tag or amusement park seems the route.” She pauses, hues brightened. “For real? This is going to be amazing. I’m so down. I hold back on nothing. Sometimes, you have to let the youthfulness enjoy. On rides, either you’ll hear me screaming or laughing.”
─ ELLA PORTER-MITCHELL.
“Okay, so, I wanted to treat myself to something, I’m supposed to be saving money, so I’ve promised myself I can only buy one record. But I can’t decide between The Graduate soundtrack or Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Thoughts?”
“Well, If I’m being honest here - those are two tough choices.” She informs lightly, surprisingly knowing both of the soundtracks. Much of her music selection varies on her mood. “But, if I had to pick - I think The Graduate is worth.”

Davis: Evening. I'm sure Hazel wouldn't mind you coming by to visit. Especially if there are presents involved...
Marina: Aw, how darling. If so, I definitely will make sure to stop by when you both are home. Do you know when that will happen?
─ TOMMY WILDER.
“Yo, how long does the honeymoon phase typically last? Because I woke up to the sounds of my mom having sex with Frank again last night - in the freaking kitchen this time - and I’m starting to get the impression she doesn’t want her 23 year old son living in her basement anymore…”
“Oh, interesting,” she began, holding back a soft laugh. “So, this time it was the kitchen? Where else did they have it? And like how active they are? Because, if this is a constant day to day thing - maybe they are trying to drive you out or just don’t seem to realize you are home during those times too.”
Teague: i mean jfc you can have OTHER, NERDIER interests, damn
Teague: tbh same it will literally be a cold day in hell when they let that be otp

Marina: people don't understand that like i just saw HOCO recently, loves it
Marina: oh for sure, it is going to be a while when it happens but i like them more and i'm holding out for some hope
Marina: gandy is adorable!! she is the cutest lil thing ever like best choice on picking her name
─ MORGAN FITZGERALD.
“You never saw him come out then, I take it?” But then again the girl had no reason to be looking for Morgan’s cousin in the first place so she would have to find out for herself. “Never mind.” She chuckled sheepishly. “I guess it wouldn’t hurt to go look for him there.”
“Definitely did not. I’ve been here for quite some time. Hopefully, he is there and didn’t manage to sneak on by.” After all, she had been enjoying her coffee and watching while people passed on. There could’ve been the chance of missing the male. “Yeah, it is one of my favorite bakeries in town. You can easily get attached to it and find yourself wanting to know more.”
─ ANDIE NORELL.
“Good point. I’m sure that’s the only thing going through Scout’s mind right now. I guess in a way we could learn a lot from them - about just living in the moment, right?” She smiled softly when she looked over at Marina. Andie had a soft spot for the younger woman, and she likely always would have. As little kids, there had ever only been Andie and Thea against all the boys, but then Marina had come along and was as much a part of the family now. “I guess so. Or maybe we just want them to worry, you know? To make them more human. I don’t think we do it on purpose though…” She shrugged, not sure. “They do have sad eyes though, yeah.”
“Yeah, it must be nice when Scout goes out and sees another dog. I don’t know, it is cute watching their tails wag and jumping over each other. The perks of a brand new dog owner, getting to experience it all.” She speaks softly with a delicate smile. To her, Andie and Thea had become the older sisters toward Marina. Although the female loved her blood sisters, they rarely had the chance to meet up and spend time. They long lived in Brazil, preferring the life down there compared to Marina and Victor - who loved home, here. For her, being here and sitting next to Andie had been nice after everything. She misses spending time with her. “The point isn’t wrong though. I just think we could get caught up and apply our emotions onto them?” She questions, unsure too. “Yeah, I’ve noticed that. It often gets to the point where I just hope I’m not being an overprotective new dog owner.” With that, Marina starts to laugh softly and watching the interaction of the dogs.
─ BROOKE ADAMS.
“Oh? What’s she doing over there, keeping an eye out for potential new locations?” Brooke teased, an eyebrow raised. When the day came to meeting her then-boyfriend’s family, a huge part of her had been dreading it. She didn’t do serious relationships, meaning that she usually skipped the whole ‘meet the family’ dinners. It was ironic, it really was, because Brooke knew she was exactly the type of girl that people would usually bring home to meet the parents. Either way, by the time the night came and went, she was happy she had gotten the opportunity to meet such kind people. The blonde had to admit, one of the hardest parts about saying goodbye to Victor had been saying goodbye to his family as well. Another reason as to why she never got attached, even now, at twenty-seven years old. Brooke didn’t think it was all that strange or a cause for concern, though she was pretty sure that her dad believed that something went incredibly wrong with her. Not that he was all that wrong in the first place. She was his only child and there wasn’t much he could compare her to, but he was definitely onto something. A huge smile took over her features at Marina’s next comment, “Rina, I’m touched. I’ll take this secret to my grave, okay?” And she hoped that Marina knew that she could trust her. Brooke had always been someone who was good at listening, but she didn’t repeat a thing she heard unless told to do so. She was never one for gossiping or for getting involved in things that wasn’t her business to begin with. “No take backs?” She repeated, rolling her eyes as a small laugh came through. “I haven’t heard that since like, grade school.” Even though they were talking about something that was obviously a big deal to Marina, she appreciated how light the vibe of the conversation was. Time flew by when she was out with her, which Brooke considered to be a good thing. “If this thing between you and the mystery man don’t work out? Hell yeah, I’d hit him in the head for you.” She joked, tilting her head. “Victor, on the other hand, no— I don’t have plans to do any more damage to our relationship. Or if you can even call it that at this point.” She said lightly, shrugging. “People probably just assume I’m a homebody, no one really asks me that. It’s no big deal, I mean— New York is great.” That had bee true, she meant every single word. “But people travel for the experiences, you know? And I feel like I’d be lucky if I ever got to experience any of it, so… to answer your question, yeah, if it were up to me I’d just get on a plane.” Brooke paused, scrunching up her nose. “I’m a woman of science, Marina. I’m looking at numbers, facts here.”
“This wouldn’t surprise me. Sneaky she is, but I know what her intentions are.” Marina laughs, knowing all of her mother kind antics. It was clear day to remember when Victor brought Brooke home, how nervous she had been. Being the younger sister, she had always wanted her nothing but happiness for her siblings. Each one of the Santos’ kids had a dazzling, but different personality of their own. Her sisters weren’t around to play part, but Marina Yet, the moment of meeting Brooke had immediately vanished. Getting to know her, getting to understand and growing to love her had been natural to her. In the beginning though, Marina was nervous to be meeting a girlfriend of Victors. With her brother, she loved him with her whole heart and would always protect him like he did for her. For how long they lasted, even if it wasn’t long enough, her bond with Brooke couldn’t be separated. That was one of the many things she loved about her brother, ending his relationships with his ex girlfriends on civil terms. Not every relationship was meant to last, as awful as it felt admitting that. But, it was the sad and honest truth. After time passed on, here Marina was with Brooke and beaming quite effortlessly, “You are like a sister to me. It can’t imagine myself not telling you this.” There weren’t many people Marina trusts, openly admitting to but Brooke was one of the few. Burying her head in her hands, she laughs loudly before sighing, “You are right. I haven’t said that in forever. I don’t know why I mentioned it now. How lame of me.” Lifting her head, Marina had been someone who could pick jokes at herself too. But, she was always willing to make the adventure lighthearted because she loved making people happy. Most importantly, her loved ones happy. “Oh wow, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of that threat towards him. Don’t worry, I’m sure Victor will put a reminder down or two.” Referring to Victor knowing this individual, preferably it being his best friend. “All of the jokes, though. But, I can’t imagine Victor ever being upset at you.” She informs lightly, shrugging her shoulders. “Homebodies are good. I think I’m preferring to be home than anything else. Nothing like sitting on the couch and watching anything random on the television. Sure, it’s great but the whole social aspect is important.” Now, she just wanted to be home and enjoy - relax, if the word was ideal to be used. “Wherever the plane takes you? If so, not a half idea. Just need to make sure the clothing packed for isn’t complete opposite and you are in shorts in the snow.” Marina nods, making a face. “And you deserve to be praised and appreciated for that. Not everyone is a woman of science.”
─ CHARLIE FOX.
Charlie kept to himself mostly, but the commotion by the lake did make the man stop in his tracks, lowering the volume of his music as he removed an earphone to check the small gathering. There were candles on a paperboat placed on the water– a beautiful sight –but the reason behind it was an unhappy one.
When he approached, he was handed a candle of his own and he quietly held it at first as he continued to observe everything.
Marina didn’t have a personal relationship with Grant Morgan. She had only heard stories about the boy but hearing about the gathering, she had wanted to check out the sight. It was beautiful, seeing the amount of paperboats placed upon the water even during trauma. It hurts to lose someone. That was something Marina had instantly been reminded of.
Holding onto her candle, she glanced around the crowd of people now. She must’ve been caught up in her own moment, seeing how much had gathered by now. Softly smiling toward another, “It’s sad what happened. But, it’s beautiful to see how many people are around.”
─ SIERRA MOORE.
“I was aiming for eight, but ten would be an interesting challenge…” She grumbled, picking up her second shot and downing it in one. “Right, ergh—” Her face screwed up as the liquor burned down her throat, picking up the next one. “Are you joining me or are you going to sit there pretending to be some proper little princess?”
“Those doubt digits, though. But, I don’t know, hold liquor well?” She lightheartedly mentions with a shrug. Lifting up her drink, Marina knew the evening wouldn’t hurt her. Hell, as long as she didn’t do any stupid tattoos and piercing tonight, everything will be fine. Hearing Sierra’s words caused her to nod, “Count me in,” she chimed in before finishing off her drink, waving the bartender to bring some shots over. Once the bartender came over with multiple shots, she drowned it down. “How long have you been here?”
─ THEA NORELL.
It was one of those moments that felt so amazing that it couldn’t possible be real—- it seemed to be too good to be true, and yet at the same time, no dream could conjure up the familiar scent and warmth of Marina. In captivity, those were the kinds of things you eventually forgot; how people felt, their unique scent or the sounds of their voices. Thea had cried herself to sleep many nights, trying to remember how a hug from her best friends or from her siblings or parents felt like, desperately trying to remember. But now she didn’t have to anymore; now she could just… be in the moment with Marina. It was amazing, and she couldn’t hold back the tears and sobs even if she’d tried her very hardest. Letting it out was better, even if any potential customers would think she was nuts— as long as she didn’t scare them away, Thea was happy. “Me too,” she said, voice shaky with emotion. “I missed you so much, but I am just so, so proud of you, ‘rina.” She suppressed a sob and pulled back, both their faces glistening with salty tears. She reached up and dried the younger woman’s cheeks with her thumb gently, smiling through the tears. “Oh, that’s too kind of you, I couldn’t access that. I want to buy something though, support my little sister,” she beamed proudly.
Growing immediately accustomed to the warmth, familiar aroma lingering around Thea would linger furthermore in Marina’s nostrils. Even though, she wouldn’t have to do such a thing anymore. Not hope to keep the aroma of her pseudo sister because Thea was physically here now. Not to allow their past times spent together on constant reply. Nowhere else, but here - in Lanford once again. After all of these years, she stayed firm upon dreaming and imagining a reunion between both of them. She didn’t want to imagine what happened to Thea. It was something she could never imagine or want anyone to endure. There was time to ask how Thea was personally handling it all. Strictly for now, every part of her was instantly glued to the idea and thought of having her around again after years. She was over moon of excitement - seeing how this was the easiest route to explain Marina’s endless amount of happiness now. It was quite evident over how her features were bright, fixated and beaming because of the individual in front of her. The resist of her tears would’ve been misery, knowing how Marina had been overwhelmed with happiness and joy over her safety now. “I thought of you. All of the things you told me, made me feel and how I didn’t know if working with my parents were the thing. It.. was right, Theay.” She mumbles immediately against her shoulder, glossed teary hues gazing the taller woman. Those salty tears were prone to staining, even in beautiful moments. Her hand covering over her mouth, her teeth chattering at how unreal it was. “One thing, promise? I’m just... so excited you are here. You are really here. How long have you been in town?”
─ ANDIE NORELL.
Sitting on a bench in the park, Andie watched as her parents’ old golden retriever ran around and played with another dog. He looked like a puppy again, ten years younger and full of energy and nearly bubbling over with joy because someone was allowed to play with him. “What do you think goes on inside a dog’s head? Do you think all they think about is food and chasing squirrels, or do you think they worry about stuff too? Like… How long will my human be gone for work today?”
“I’ve thought of something along those lines before,” agreed Marina, softly smiling. “I’m sure when they are out with other dogs, chasing after squirrels or playing with other dogs is one of their main concerns.” It had always seemed like dogs were twice as happy around others, clear at the sight of the playful exchange between the Norell’s family dog and Milo. “I’m sure they worry. It is a rather human tendency which dogs pick up signals around them. To me, I just can’t help but look at their eyes and see sadness like something is bothering them, but silence.” She answers with a sigh, picturing the glossy eyes upon the dog.

─ LIBBY RIGBY.
“–how long do you think i-is too long, when you’re waiting for a blind date?” It had only been half an hour, yet Libby had no clue whether or not that was simply too long or not.
“I never been on one. But, standing someone up on a blind date? It would’ve been easier to just call and let the other know.” She answers before raising a brow, leaning closer towards Libby. “Who am I going to have to go after?” This was her dear friend Libby, every part of her grew instantly protective.
─ THEA NORELL.
Being reunited with so many loved ones had been overwhelming, but in a good way, and once again, Thea felt that happiness, relief and gratitude flood her senses as she wrapped her arms tightly around Marina—- her honorary little sister, and someone she trusted with her whole life, and loved even more. Being away from especially her had been painful, and she would never stop feeling guilty for all the worry and pain she put her through for those fifteen months of radio silence. “I’m here, I’m okay,” she repeated, nodding her head silently as the tears fell freely from her eyes. “I missed you too… I thought about you every single day,” she told her. “But I knew you’d be okay, I knew it.” Finally pulling back to look at her properly, Thea smiled through the tears. “Look how beautiful you are. I’m so proud of you.”
It had been painful to not have Thea around. She had thought about her endlessly, every single possible day of her pseudo older sister. Family had always been an important factor in her growing up. Any and every moment Marina had wanted to share with Thea, she couldn’t due to everything that happened. But, she was here now. Thea was here now and Marina couldn’t help but to beam of excitement. This wasn’t any sick dream. This was reality, clinging onto the taller women with all of her will power. This was real life. “I’m glad you are here. I’m glad you are okay,” she whispers, tears escaping and staining her olive complexion with joy. “I did too. I thought of you... I missed seeing you daily, at family dinners,” she mumbles against her shoulder. “Andie was there to help. A lot. I’m just so glad you are here.” Once separated, Marina hues shine due to her wet tears but easily smiling with endless amount of joy. “Thank you, Thea. I’m so happy you came back home. Oh gosh, I’m so overwhelmed of excitement. I must give you something on the house. Anything, however much you want. You are back home. My older sister is back home.”
