Flying into Hong Kong and Shenzhen as we are slowly descending down onto the runway. My eyes wash over and I see visible shapes. Long rectangular gradients of light that flow from clouds into darkness. I can feel the city breathing and beating.

What am i doing?

So after about 2 years spent in China and learning the ropes of importing and exporting in China, I think I've gotten enough information and networking opportunities that allow me to start doing my own thing. 

I've recently gotten plenty of time to think and consider if this is the right move, but in a sense i've already made it. The problem now is getting a good starting point. To put it simply, my past job required me to communicate with company customers through their project process. This included several steps of "China-fying" their products, organizing logistics, legal process of trademarks and brand protection, as well as working with customers who are ordering samples and their final containers for their finished from China to whichever country they may be. 

With my resources now, It could be possible to find an interested client and use my connections within China to make it possible, but thats much too early for me to be undertaking. I want to start simple, and as simple as playing around with Ebay, Amazon, and basically flipping factory bought products. on ecommerce websites. On the side of this, I still have side projects and supplies I need to sell to big buyers. I'll place a list down for what I need to have done.

- 130,000 pairs of jeans and denim clothing needs a buyer, CNF shipping

- Ebay and Amazon accounts registers. Need to shop on alibaba and prepare a good product for presentation. Need samples. 

- Company organization, how to get legal in China, partnership? or WFOE 

- Search for sales team for battery manufactory in Shenzhen, China 

- Adjust current "full-time" company internet marketing strategy. Need to accomodate their strategy without me being there 24/7

This is whats on my mind. In the meantime, I'm always on the lookout for something that i think will be huge in China. Even the most far-fetched idea has a place and should be considered.

This is kind of a regular scene where I live. The street corner is relatively empty, but there are still people out frying noodles or serving BBQ at 2 and 3 in the morning. Quite nice actually.

Psycho Le Cemu - Remembrance (live)

I've never been a huge fan of Visual Kei music, but I can't deny the fact that these guys were responsible for me even liking Japanese music today. I was still in high school when i discovered Psycho Le Cemu and go back time to time to listen to their most famous of albums. The difference between these guys and other V-Kei bands was the impression I got that each of them were actually into their characters and roles, unlike many V-Kei bands that i ran into. They had fun with their videos and costumes, and that made it fun for me. Their breakup was inevitable i thought. They weren't exactly a timeless band, but I believe a milestone for me as a listener.

Real Estate is neither japanese nor chinese, but they did go to Beijing and did a mini tour in China i believe! Doesn't matter now, because I've just realized they did a cover of "Barely Legal" by The Strokes. This is now one of my favorite songs in the world.

Holy Crap I haven't posted in a while. Its probably because I've wandered back to English music as of late. Time to get back into the swing of things, there are tons of music in japan and china to discover! This song is LILI by Anatakikou. Great band and wonderful song.

My Little Airport 台北演唱会 Part 18/20 The Wall,Taipei 2012/9/15 (by Han Chang)

Do you remember the F Y C-Indie post a short while ago about Hong Kong’s My Little Airport making their long-awaited return to Taiwan? Well, you can see the entire concert, courtesy of YouTuber Han Chang. There are 20 videos in all, and since most MLA songs are quite short, many of the clips are of more than one song. This video is 浪漫九龍塘 (Romantic Kowloon Tong) and Dee, It May All End Tomorrow. If you follow the clip back to Mr. Chang’s YT, it appears he has other full concerts, including the gig of We Save Strawberries with Sandee Chan from a month ago.
