We are Flappy Happy! We are a small Canadian business run by two autistic women.
When searching for fidget items, we’ve noticed that the vast majority are marketed towards children or the parents of children. We wanted to focus on adults that need fidgets. This partially comes from us wanting to say it’s okay to use fidgets (more than okay!), but also us wanting to include more discreet fidget items for those that may need or want them.
We carry a lot of your standard fidgets you’d expect like push pops, fidget spinners and similar.
But we also carry more discreet or adult focused fidgets. These might include things like calm strips (textured stickers), fidget earrings, fidget necklaces, and spinner rings.
Any signal boosting or help spreading the word is so beyond appreciated!
Our website is here.
Here are some photos of some of our products below!
These are some of our Calm Strips! These are textured stickers you can place on your phone, bag, etc. They can be very grounding and soothing to touch.
You can see our full calm strip collection here!
These are some of our chewables! These are safe to chew on fidget items!
Hazel had not been working at the understaffed public library very long before they started asking her to close on her own. The truth was she was just trustworthy, and the only one who lived within walking distance.
The tasks were simple: make sure everyone left on time, turn off the computers, refill the printer, turn off the lights, and lock the door.
Hazel immediately agreed to do closing. Honestly she found the routine calming, alone while finishing up some simple tasks. After a bit, she got in the habit of humming as she finished her closing tasks, enjoying herself. Even if the workday had been busy, and stressful, she'd leave relaxed.
"We're lost," said the older one. "My name is Hero and this is my sibling, Sandin. We went looking for our cousin but we couldn't find his book. Then we lost our book, so we started looking for it. But then this happened," he gestured around.
Hazel sighed, looking around. "Okay. Well, do you know the name of the book?" That'd be a good starting point for this, she'd be able to help them with that. Then she'd get to work cleaning up the mess.
Hazel gave a soft sigh. Well, there was where the problem came from. "Here, he had me move his book, I can grab it for you." And at least then that problem would be solved. She still had to find their book though.

Send me “⟲” and my muse will tell yours a story from their childhood.
Hero is still in childhood but when they were much younger they learned French in school as did the rest of their siblings. The three of them spoke exclusively in French for a month so their mother could not understand them.
