Zac Eisenstein is the jam.
So, the post-"man overboard" music is here and I'm so down. Bright Green is one of my new favorites. The lyrics are deeper, more raw. That emotional reach is so attention grabbing. Brings my angsty out, man.

The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot // Brand New
Beartooth @ Chill on the Hill // 9.30.16
Beartooth // Chill on the Hill
My boys never disappoint. Caleb Shomo live is a experience. His energy and his voice are so raw you can feel in your feet. I would never turn down a chance to see him regardless who he is playing with.
Travis Scott is really doing the thing these days. He seems to appeal to just about everyone. I knew nothing of him and then he was everywhere. Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight certainly surpassed my expectations. He is unique, in his sound, vibe, and actual lyrics. Today rap music seems to be about what you can bring that’s different. I can really appreciate that.
Daffodil // Columbus New band I found in an online playlist. Has the awesome mainstream, pop-punk, singer-songwriter vibe that I'm digging.
Billy Talent Live Show Review
Billy Talent played Chill on the Hill 2016 in Sterling Heights, Michigan this past weekend (Sep. 30th). I'll admit, I felt like one of the youngest people in the crowd that was really enjoying the show. There were some guys around me that were much closer to the band's age than mine. I genuinely enjoyed every moment they were on stage though. Their energy was awesome. I've heard complaints from fans in the past that when bands get older their music doesn't deteriorate, but their live shows do. Ben really took what you listen to at home and brought it to life. The shift from listening to his music to then watching it was fantastic. His voice is very unique compared to what's around these days. It reminded me of Billy Joel, which is never a bad thing. If you ever found yourself to be a fan of older (90's) rock music and haven't listened to them, I'd suggest 'Devil On My Shoulder' or 'Viking Death March'.
Music Review: 'This Could Be Heartbreak'
The Amity Affliction has done it again. The Australian metalcore band released their sixth full-length last month, each song an anthem to little emo peoples across the tumblrverse (’cause where else would they be). It speaks to the trials and tribulations of mental illness, heartbreak, relationships, and inner conflicts. Everyone who hasn’t listen yet should go pick it up.

I sleep with the TV on, it covers up my feelings about the past. Here I am lying awake, thinking about how things used to be.

Who’s Feelin’ Blond?
Frank Ocean is blowing my mind.
I have probably been listening to ‘Blond’ all day. My taste in music has certainly evolved and grown as I have these past few months. I would go as far as mature. That feels like a diss to people I was into more in the past. However, I never would have given this album the chance last year. It's chill, feel-good music. Yet, at the same times its eccentric and makes you think about your life, the world, even his life. It's the kind of thing that just fills your head. You can really get lost in it. I think that's what music is supposed to do, and not everyone can do that. So, congrats man. Even if you don't listen to rap/hip-hop/R&B, listen to this. He's like Twenty Øne Piløts to alternative music, you know? He is, but isn't, but yet he is. Don't judge. Just listen.

This is gonna be the single best tour of the year, only slimly beating out the Blink-182 tour this summer. I cannot even contain my excitement.
Over an Over // Neck Deep And I hope that you might think that I was, some sort of exception to your plans and your direction, but I realized quite soon that who I am bares no reflection to the part of me you held so high.
