Cameron Elijah MacKenzie ♔ CHAMPAGNE POURING OVER US ♔ ღ April 5, 2015 ღ Hey, losers. My name is Cameron Elijah Ellington-MacKenzie Lyons and, naturally, it is your pleasure to meet me. I'm twenty-four years young, and I live in Manhattan. You know, the only part of New York City that actually matters. Am I from NYC? The short answer is no. I consider myself to be a New Yorker because I've been living in the city since I was seventeen, almost eighteen, but I'm originally from peaceful, suburban North Haven, Connecticut. It's a college town, home to the graduate campus for the Quinnipiac University Bobcats (or, as well call them, "slobcats"), and it's only about ten or fifteen minutes away from Yale. What I'm getting at here is that the only good thing about home were the college parties I got to crash sometimes in high school. I knew I had to get out of suburbia, which is why I'm here today. For a number of reasons, life in North Haven just wasn't doing it for me. So, while everyone else was graduating from NHHS, I was hopping on a train with a one-way ticket to NYC. Sure, I was a high school drop out, but I figured shit out for myself well enough to survive for the past five years. I passed the TASC last year, so I'm not a complete slacker and the high school drop-out thing shouldn't matter as much anymore. In fact, it really doesn't matter at all now. After hunting around for ages, I finally found a place for my bakery and have created Decadence. Odds are, if you know anything at all about high-quality desserts in NYC, you've heard of it by now. I'll still gladly cater any party/event that'll hire me, but you're going to have to give me notice a week or two in advance so I can pencil you into my busy schedule. And before you get any ideas and start asking yourself what you could possibly do to get this devilishly handsome baker in your bed, I should point out the fact that I am very happily taken. Emerson is everything I never knew I wanted. She's the wife I never thought I'd have, and every day, she amazes me more than the last. You'd have to wait for hell to freeze over before you'd get a chance with me now, and even then, I don't think you'd have a shot. Sometimes, you have to learn to embrace the unexpected, and unfortunately for you, that means accepting the fact that I've decided to live a monogamous lifestyle. Speaking of the unexpected, the newest addition to my family is a beautiful, little girl named Genevieve. She's actually a princess, and once she's old enough to walk and talk on her own, I'm pretty sure she's going to rule the world. Eat your hearts out, my fellow New Yorkers, and don't even think about making my little girl cry.
