István Orosz | Impressive anamorphic artworks
István Orosz is a Hungarian artist best known for his mathematically inspired works, optical illusions and his fantastic anamorphic art. The distorted pieces seen above come to life when a cylindrical mirror is placed on the artwork. Seemingly abstract imagery transforms into detailed and realistic figures and faces.
He likes to use visual paradox and illusionistic approaches, while following traditional printing techniques such as woodcutting and etching. Because of this, his work has been compared to works by the likes of M.C. Escher.
Find more work on his blog.
