Led Zeppelin at the Grande Ballroom, Detroit, Michigan. January, 1969.
George photographed at the Lyceum Ballroom, London for the ‘Peace For Christmas’ Unicef charity show, which featured John and Yoko and the Plastic Ono Band on the 15th December 1969. John had asked Eric Clapton and George to play at the concert which would launch the ‘War is Over’ peace campaign, as George had been playing with Eric with Delaney and Bonnie and Friends recently. However it wasn’t confirmed that they would appear until the day of the concert when George, Eric and most of Delaney and Bonnie’s group arrived to take part. It was the last time George and John shared a stage. :(
