hi so ,,, i’m not gonna be here much over the next coming days / weeks. my step father’s mother passed away today and i’m absolutely distraught over it. i suppose you could call this a bereavement hiatus? it’s not permanant. i’ll be back eventually. in the meantime, you can find me on dis/cord @ seph.#5481 , k/ik @ blvntteeth and also on these two blogs.

He’d grown comfortable with Will’s touches, well for the most part. ‘ You can… um, t-touch me.. It’s just– not… uh, wh-when you surprise me I don’t… know it’s you so I.. get j-jumpy I guess..’

          “ babe , chill out. it’s fine. i know , i get it. i’ll -- try not to sneak up in you in the future. “ he nods , shrugging his shoulders a little. “ i’ll shout really loudly that i’m gonna hug you , then i’ll do it. that’s plenty or warning , right ? “

Nico doesn’t mind Will not being pressed up against him if it means that they can look at each other. Although the closeness makes him a little nervous, evidenced by the way his eyes don’t exactly meet Will’s. He scoffs, biting his lip a little. ‘ You can surprise me without touching me, and then it’ll be fine. And the relationship won’t go stale.’

          even when nico tells him he can surprise him without touching him , he still smiles. he likes being near nico , even if he isn’t touching him , or being looked at , seeing as nico is trying desperately to avoid his gaze. “ if you don’t want me to touch you , nico , just say so. you don’t need to be all coy about it. i understand. “

           “ a lot of the kids here have never been able to properly celebrate christmas , “ he mumbles , biting down on his lower lip , shrugging as he fixes a branch of holly berries to the door of his cabin. “ i like to try and make up for the things they’ve never had before. “

‘ I don’t.’ He mutters again. But that didn’t stop him from getting all flustered and pouty at Will for surprising him like that. He shrugs, turning his head a little so he could try to look at him a little. ‘ You’re not supposed to surprise me. That’s the point. If your surprise me there’s a good chance I’ll accidentally shadow travel into another state.’

         he feels like pouting a little himself when nico moves to look at him , because now he has to move away slightly to look back at him , and he hates the way he isn’t pressed against him. he moves to press his lips to nico’s temple , eyes closing. “ then this relationship is going to get very stale , very quickly , because surprises keep things fresh. “

‘ I hate you.’ No he didn’t, far from it. But that wasn’t going to stop him muttering it under his breath. He rolls his eyes, ‘ That’s disgusting. And it’d be your fault anyway, you should have warned me and not snuck up on me like that.’

        “ no you don’t , “ he hums , smiling a little. sometimes he wonders if nico says things under his breath because he thinks will can’t hear him. he has the ear of a musician , and also of an archer. he can hear things thirty five miles away. he shrugs , biting his lip , chuckling. “ how am i supposed to surprise you with hugs or anything if i have to give you warning first ? you’re no fun whatsoever. “
