Erik (Camus) Appreciation
Erik (Camus) is a very unique character in both design and personality. He is not the typical type of character that falls under the thief trope. Although he sometimes puts on a tough exterior, deep down inside he is really a soft sweetheart with a heart of gold. Another unique trait of his is that there is a large possibility that he may be queer/bi sexual based upon his actions and mannerisms. This seems to be extremely unusual for his archetype in most JRPG games in general. Adding a new twist to the bad boy, cool laid back persona, Camus is a nice breath of fresh air.
Although he initially joined the Luminary’s side for the sake of himself, somewhere along the adventure his attitude changes and he ends up offering both the Luminary and the other party members a great amount of help. Usually being the voice of reason in most situations and making use of his extensive knowledge on things due to his line of work/profession. He also seems to always know when to fight when to fight or flight which is a very useful trait to have in survival situations. Erik truly offers a great deal of help to the party in various ways. His cunning, sly and easy going personality has made him an amazing asset to the team and an all around pleasant individual to keep around. Taking it a step even farther, Erik becomes the Luminary’s closest companion and follows him, offering his loyalty and trust for as long as they live.
Erik is most definitely a masterpiece…
He is a treasure, the absolute most valuable piece of treasure in all of Erdrea.
