Happy Anniversary to Me

According to my bio, this blog is dedicated to my fanfic, and today marks the 3rd Anniversary of the posting of my first ever fic, so I thought I’d queue up some posts before I go to work about my fic. (Incidentally, the 3rd anniversary is the leather anniversary, which is delightfully appropriate for fic, don’t you think?) Anyhow, I figure I’ll use this opportunity to look back at my fic and say a little something about all 34 (!) of my published stories. (I’ll be talking about them in batches, not individually, so don’t panic that I’m about to flood your dash.)

Of course, I can never talk about my entry into the world of fanfic without giving a shout out to @snowglory and @canadiangarrison. None of this–the good, the bad, the WTF–could have happened without you.

And without further ado, let’s talk about The Debts We Make.

It all started with Athamis, two gorgeous Musketeers I wanted to think about kissing each other…and stuff. Originally, TDWM series was just me writing a simple bit of dirty talk followed by a blowjob. I hadn’t thought any farther than that, but when I decided to keep writing them, I continued their story from that one shot, and the next thing I knew, a 53K word series was born. There are some rough patches, (I still think the opening to “The Redeeming” is utter crap), but overall, I like how it turned out. And that first fic, “Professionals,” still has one of my favorite lines I’ve ever written: “Proper fellatio shouldn’t be proper at all.“

Sometimes I really want to watch a show but I really don’t like it. So I end up doodling. After three episodes of a show I realized it’s almost 4am and I have a whole collection of very crappy Chibi!Aramis and Chibi!Athos. That’s my life XD
