Other people forget and don't care. I was in a relationship where a man thought it was his God given right to disrespect me because he was a man. He didn't look at his behavior as disrespect and said I was misusing the word. In reality I was misusing my time. When I would try to leave he would become violent and then lay up and cry like he lost his best friend, but I wasn't treated like a best friend. I was just someone who was supposed to tolerate his "masculinity" because I was a woman. There is so much more to being a man than the type of disrespect he delivered and he never seemed to fulfill those qualities. . .
