Kinda want to come back and draw again with the new mclul and shit, but —————- idk like I don’t go on tumblr much anymore or do much but ahh idk with all this drama too, which there is so much to.
Finally fully finished MCL. And, feel sort of sad, but excited. I don’t know what’s to come from University life, but, I’m excited. I been playing this for a while, and I’m happy to have shared this. @chinomiko , thank you for working hard with the rest of the team. Thank you for making characters I would become attached to, and making me laugh, I’m genuinely happy to have played the game.
Haven’t posted in a while, but for my only post, I’m hoping I can finally date Priya, my gay ass needs this.
for someone thats worked with a professional artist, your art is pretty mediocre
Okay, tell me what I can do to improve? Of course I’d love to talk off anon and get more insight. Critique and opinions towards getting better.Â
@candy-glasses @mcl-danielle
Nah you guys both made valid points too. It’d be nice if the fandom could have a simple discussion like this without everyone yelling at each other. Yeah we don’t agree on all the points but we understand that and accept it.Â
If I sounded like a bitch that was not my intention. People who know me know that this is just how I am.Â
Also sorry to hear that you’re leaving @candy-glasses. I don’t think I’ve ever spoken with you but i do quietly watch a lot of the fandom’s blogs. Understandable that stress has gotten to you and you want to leave. A lot of us here have to deal with stress, anxiety, pressures, etc so it’s comprehensible.Â
Thank you Yumi, yes we have never spoken, I was barely on for a while. It isn’t only stress from this fandom, but many outside sources, moving from Hawaii to Minnesota isn’t easy. Though we understand you weren’t coming off as rude, you had a very good and valid point. Thank you.
Am I the only one who doesn’t mind @mcl-burn-book? Like, they bring up valid points. I’ll say it right now for the whiny ones that I don’t agree with everything they do. Yes, I believe that if you have a problem with someone you should just tell them. The idea of sending criticism towards someone else anonymously is a cowardly move. Now, as for everything else on the blog…I don’t really mind it. It’s simply someone’s opinion that isn’t the opinion of the mass. I understand why they’re going on anon. As soon as someone says something not everyone agrees with, they get attacked for it. The fandom doesn’t seem to realize that not everything is positive. Not everything is sunshine and rainbows. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Same when it comes to art. Not everyone is going to like your art. It is their right not to like it. Like I stated before (for everyone that will say BUT THEY WERE MEEEEAAAN) I don’t agree with an anonymous callout, but it really wasn’t very negative in the first place. Along with that, as an artist you are going to receive criticism. As an artist, writer, etc you need to be able to take criticism and apply that your work. Telling someone that their work is perfect or great is fine, but you are blinding them to the criticism that may in fact help them get even better.
All I’m saying is that the burn book was created because people who had different opinions (there is a difference between criticism and just being a dick mind you)  felt they couldn’t speak freely. They were afraid of being hounded by the fandom, and honestly the fandom is proving it’s point right now. I’m not saying I fully agree with the burn book, but it definitely has some valid points.
Let people say what they need, let them get it out. A lot of people are pissed and that's expected. It's good to see some positivity is going on, at the same time though, some people need to let off steam and shit. Block the book if you need to, it's stressful and can really do damage to a person. Criticism is important too, which why I'm going to add this though, from what I saw in this fandom, most people will not take actual criticism, as a whole. It comes in a lot of shapes and forms, though most of the "criticisms" I see are simply compliments that just say: "possibly fix this! Though I just love your art!" the art world is really hard, going into it is basically admitting your a shut in. However, to work with people, and as someone who has personally worked with a retired Disney Animator, you're gonna get criticism constantly. Working on a mural for this man's project, every day he saw me and saw my sketch he constantly told me what to fix and why it was wrong, he barely complimented me and continuously pushed me. This is from an actual professional who I had the honor of working with/for. For those going into college, like me, and wanting to get your head start in the art industry, here is advice. Be as calm as you can, work hard, grow thick skin, and make sure you listen to those as much as you can. With everything going on, I'm glad I'm leaving this fandom, it is way too stressful for me now with every other responsibility I got. However, the @mcl-burn-book, it's a book of negativity and people letting out their anger. for @mikamycandylove, I say block it. Â We are no longer on good terms with each other, however I know she is under a lot of pressure. Though you can;t stop people from being upset and wanting to let it out. So let people let it out and when you need positivity go to the @mclpositivityproject . There is a blog for different things, though remember your health is first, so block the book if need.
Yumi, I think you made a good point and your opinion is good to voice. Thank you, also thank you to @mcl-danielle for her opinion too. Things are different on every side. I apologize for not being able to explain better, this is only my opinion too though. Take with a grain of salt if you want.
About me
So, by the end of this summer, I plan on leaving the fandom. I’m keeping my characters and still drawing for it, however, with college coming up, I want to pursue different fandoms, and expand these two outside of mcl.Â
I’m going into animation, going to MCAD, which I’m excited for. This fandom lately has become very toxic and with all the recent drama going on, I don’t feel it’s good for me to be a part of it while I’m going to be dealing with more things in college. I’ve lost touch with most of the fandom anyway, and really only like a few people here.Â
I feel that this fandom has helped me grow as an artist, and help me draw more intimacy, though I am more into Persona and other games now. In fact in the future, I hope to be working on something big too. MCL was one of my fave otome games, I still really like it! Yet I need to cut off ties with this fandom, I am always up for talking, though I know most people won;t talk to me anymore or anything, since I was exiled. But thank you for the memories, Mint and Bubble will exist though just as themselves, two really stupid oc’s who I care about.
Beatrice Morel, My Sweet Elite OC
Bea is part of the Department of Performing Arts, specializing in musical theater. Her love and passion for the genre blossomed the moment her parents took her to see her first musical when she was younger, The Phantom of the Opera. She was enticed and drawn in with the music and genuine feelings that the performers demonstrated during the show. Their vulnerability, their anger, and their love.. From then on, she dedicated herself to anything theater-related, her talent in the art only growing more and more after each passing year. She pours her heart and soul out during every one of her shows, no matter what role she plays. To her being in the spotlight isn’t the important thing, but having the passion and drive is.Â
Bea is a very outgoing and enthusiastic girl, making it easy for her to make friends. She’s easily approachable due to the smile that she always has plastered on her face and is friendly to those who seem to have good intentions. Her boldness, however, often leads to her making rash decisions which may get her in a bit of trouble, but nothing too extreme. She doesn’t tolerate rudeness or pettiness however, and won’t hesitate to call someone out and confront them about it. Despite that, she’s very open and willing to make friends with almost everyone, if they desire the same.
