Actually, y'know what? In hindsight, I'm glad that Bunnydoll and Showtime went ignored by the show. I shudder to think what gooner fantasies Goose might've projected onto them had she actually cared...
Does pregnancy in the FC AU go as long as regular pregnancy or is it shorter?
Depends on how many she's got in there! Her shortest pregnancy was with her daughter Bugle, who was only in there for four months before Ragatha gave birth to her.
(art by my co-writer and gf @doglover502!)
Ragatha didn't even know she was pregnant until she gave birth. On the toilet.
*Please tag as spoilers*
Ragatha hanging out with the Gloinks Queen and her kids vindicates my headcanon that she’d want to be a mother of plenty of kids. Your AU is a prime example of that
Alright y'all, now it's time for the question...
WHO WOULD WIN?
Canon Ragatha & her 300 Gloinks
FC Ragatha & her 100 Rabbit kids
ELABORATE ON YOUR CHOICE IN THE REPLIES!
Oh gosh, does Ragatha have to deal with the…worst parts of pregnancy? The feet swelling? The teeth sometimes falling out? The pregnancy brain? The mood swings? The morning sickness?
Yes to all of the above!
But she’s done this so many times atp that the pregnancy symptoms are like nothing to her. They’re the equivalent of a splinter to her- something which rarely rises above that a minor inconvenience.
What would the bunnydoll kids do for Fathers'/Mothers' Day?
I don't think they're aware either holiday exists, tbh. XD
Do all the rabbits have names?
Of COURSE they do! Ragatha loves and cherishes every rabbit she gives birth to! What kind of mother do you THINK she is?!!
Pomni: “You had a wife here? Like, here in the circus?”
Jax: “Yeah. She was sweet, lively- really into the country life. I used to hate corn, but... she somehow got me to like it. (Chuckles lightly) It's not the most cheerful memory, but... it's one I at least have control over”
Why do you people do this to me? I'm here offering you cute and silly AUs full of family hijinx and in return? I am given PAIN and MISERY!
(Okay but an AU with Jax in place of Kinger would go hard. Like, after Ragatha abstracted he fully lost his grip on reality and now acts and behaves entirely like a cartoon character and reacting to the people around him like they're just his wacky co-stars...but when he's reminded of his lost wife he temporarily comes back to reality and shows the softer, more empathetic side of himself. Idk, just an idea!)
I'd imagine this also takes place in episode 3 when they're in the horror route of the haunted mansion, with Jax taking Kinger's place and following an already terrified Pomni into the same route for something more "adventurous and fun"
Jax doesn't take anything seriously, playing around with the decor and frustrating Pomni with his constant jokes while they try to find an escape
It is until they find the deteriorating body of Baron Mildenhall, his body reeks and it's full of bugs eating him from the inside out. One of those bugs that Pomni points out are a few centipedes that crawls up her legs.
"Ew, ew, ew! Not centipedes! That's so gross! Ugh, let's just get the gun and get out of here!
... Jax? Hello?"
Unlike the jester, he isn't grossed out with one of the few centipedes crawling up his body
In fact, he knows it far too well, he's held them before when he wanted to play a prank on Ragatha
I'll do you one even better!
From the minute they entered the basement, his mind started returning to him, as always seems to happen whenever he's surrounded by cool blue hues.
Now imagine if Zooble and Gangle found out Zoobs was pregnant-
Zoobs would blow up on the spot.
I don’t know man. Gangle is kind of a questionable shipper so out of everyone, I don’t think she minded too much walking in but that’s just my theory
She saw Jax's bare butt once.
It was awesome.
Any writing tips you can give.
Whether you're writing a fanfic or something original, the most important thing is to be sincere. Way too many writers fall into the trappings of irony as a means of self-protection which prevents them from being able to express anything of themselves to the audience and results in a story that doesn't truly say anything. If you want to write something good, you first need to believe that what you're saying is worth hearing and if you're not sure, it'll show.
It's always a good idea to show your drafts to people you trust and get their feedback before publishing it. Not only can they point out flaws that you might've missed, they can also suggest ideas that you wouldn't have come up with on your own!
One of my personal rules for writing characters is that a character's greatest strength should also be their greatest weakness. Like, an empathetic character who thinks they always know what's best for others, a strong character who shuts out anything they perceive as "weak," a clever character who's over-reliant on their wits, and so on. I find it makes them feel more three-dimensional!
People don't always do what they think is right but they always do what they think is reasonable. Keep that in mind when trying to come up with conflict.
Don't try to use every single idea you come up with. Sometimes you're gonna come up with something that you really like but which doesn't further the story and while it can be frustrating to let it go, trying to include all your ideas will make your story a bloated mess.
It's okay if not everybody loves the things you make. So long as YOU love them, that's enough!
Above all else, try to approach your writing with a sense of curiosity. Be curious about your story and characters and why things happen the way they do. Be curious about other's work and the things you like about them and why. Be curious about other's perspectives on your work. Curiosity breeds passion and passion breeds great art.
Hope this helps!
Do the kids miss the other players before they were abstracted?
Oh definitely.
For the family code AU, did Caine originally like any of the bunny children before there was so many of them?
Like, did he at least like the first one Tiffany? At least at one point before he probably decided he hated her for being the proof that the bunny doll combo could reproduce? Especially after so many bunny babies have been born now...
I'm planning to dive deeper into Caine's feelings on them in the future so I don't want to get too deep into it here but what I can say is that he initially regarded this whole "baby" thing with a mixture of curiosity and confusion but his feelings quickly soured when he saw just how she could captivate the humans without even trying.
That bitterness has grown into hatred over the years as the circus just got fuller and fuller.
Honestly, I'm kinda glad the show is over bc that means it can't hurt Ragatha anymore.
Babygirl, I am gonna give you so much love and attention, you have no idea.
My honest reaction to the character's human names/appearances:
I'm sure you saw the short where Caine dances, has a seizure, and then preggers, until he switches with Jax, in which he becomes preggers. Is that how Jax became pregnant in your AU, or is it something different?
No but oh my god, could you imagine? 😆
Jax carried a litter in the FC AU after Caine attempted to patch out pregnancy altogether, but all that ended up doing was moving the babies to their dad instead.
He had seven boys.
