When Addison had heard about the war on the Mountain Men-or, more accurately, heard she wasn’t allowed to fight in said war-she was angry. Titus had said that they couldn’t risk loosing a Nightblood novitiate before the next conclave, but these were the men who killed her mother. She refused to not help fight.

So Addison did the only thing she could think of: she snuck out of Polis and went to fight anyway.

Addison walked with her bow in hand for a long time before she heard something. She drew back the string on her bow, ready to release an arrow if need be. She eyed the older girl as she stepped out from behind the tree. She didn’t look familiar, so the Nightblood kept her bow drawn.

“I might ask the same thing about you,” is all Addison said, not wanting to give away anything in case it would be realized that she wasn’t supposed to be there.

Her hand fell away from the sword, dropping to her side at the sight of the young Grounder --- not wanting to be seen as a threat to her. Meeting someone who wasn't yet aware of the presence of the people from the Ark was unusual -- she'd been sure every one of them were made aware when the kids landed on Earth. Green eyes traveled over the girl and her weapon, she may be a Grounder but didn't seem to be with the group at the camp -- or maybe they left her behind for her safety. Hands were raised slowly in an attempt to get the other to lower her weapon -- she was just a kid, there was no reason to fight.

" Octavia, from Skaikru. " A short response was all that was necessary -- sure that everyone was at least familiar with the term if they didn't know the people of the Ark themselves yet. " --- Are you looking for someone? "

“ Mom – I’m fine. ” Her tone was insistent, but still she stepped forward into her mother’s arms because some part of Violet needed this from her right now. Her parents had been entirely focused on their own arguments since they moved into this house – and were beginning to notice some warning signs of a serious problem in their teenage daughter. Something that was beginning to get under Violet’s skin – their incessant need to get her to speak to them ( or at least her father ) and tell them what was going on. How she felt – but still she never said a word, instead becoming defensive and retreating to the safety of her room.

Pulling away from her mother, the walls built back up and the guarded demeanor returned once more. Her back was turned to Vivien as she moved to leave the room, feeling herself begin to shut down as she had so many times before.

“ Seriously, mom – don’t worry about it. ”

What I say: I am ship trash.

What I mean: I am always open to the possibility of ships happening and developing while two characters are fleshing out their relationship, but I do not immediately ship things because dynamics can change as muses interact. However, if someone were to IM me about a ship, I would 100% be on board to discuss the possibilities of it happening, how that would come about, and what other fun we could have- including angst.
