I didnt want to make this post due to being embrassed and pride but im desperate. Im an intellectually disabled person and was decalred unable to be independent at 16. I live with my caregivers: my mother and uncle and grandparents. my grandparents are 65 and 70, planing to retire, uncle moving out and I would be stuck with my mom. My mother is mentaliy unstable, having constant violent outbrusts nightly and unable to keep a job due to seizures, yet my family forces her into a postion of being my main caretaker. she never has money to pay for a phone plan for me as she spends it on rent and weed. She has phyically attacked my grandpa and uncle and verbally abuses me and my grandmother. once they are gone I am going to be stuck with her. She treats me like a pet and has been avoiding sending in my disability so I have to depend solely on her. I am 20 years old yet they shelter me like a child. I just learned how to tap a bank card 4 months ago, the light in my room was broken for 4 years and they just fixed it a month ago, My mom refused to take me to doctor appoments due to simply not feeling like going out. I have a bank account under my own email but it is under my grandmas number. she does not get notfiyed when money is transfered to my account. I mainly use throne as I have no way have getting paypal snice I have no number. Throne transfers the money to stripe than it will transfer it to my account, when this happens it does not alert my grandma. It was like pulling teeth for her to even allow me to use her number for it.
