I've been feeling a tug to make and share more art inspired by Jesus as I grow closer to Him. The tug really started like a year and a half ago or so I think? I kept kind of pushing it off and wrestling with it, but as I've been growing closer to God and experiencing Him in my life, I've had a stronger desire to devote all aspects of my life--including my artwork and socials--to God and sharing His love. The closer I get to God, the more every other topic pales in comparison. I've kinda felt like putting the pencil down in regard to drawing fanart and fantasy (e.g., G/t) so I can devote my art 100% to God. Not sure if that's actually God's plan for me but I figure it couldn't hurt to just try it out for a while.

It's been on my heart for a while but I haven't discussed it on my socials so I figured an explanation as to why all my socials are changing might clear something concern. ☺️

The Titan and the Crownbreaker (wonderful art by @jjgg-art ) First of all, massive thank you to Morgan for this absolutely stunning commission. I've had this idea bubbling in the back of my mind forever. It's always so much fun to see an idea that's been sitting for that long brought to life. Please go check out her page if you haven't already. I've been a fan of her art for a while now, and if you're interested I would highly recommend commissioning her in the future.

Second, AH ok ok ok so jkdfljskfjgdskjljkdjfsafd y'all I feel so giddy and over the moon about this. I never got around to showing it in the original version of Offline Valor (reboot coming Soon dw), but one of the things that's always been a factor since the beginning is that the OV Borrowers have towns and cities in what they call "the Tens." While there are scavengers and those who live in Human ("Titan") cities, I wanted them to have more space to breathe and thrive as their own magical society. And of COURSE Zelly would be so absolutely over the moon getting to explore and find out more about them. And this piece really helps capture her whimsy and awe, but also the fact she is just so big compared to the Borrowers that it's hard not to spook at least one or two of the locals. Especially those who might be afraid of Rowan's reputation. and now he's bringing his Titan girlfriend around? wild times

it'll be really juicy and fun to unpack all of those vibes once I revisit Offline Valor :))

My bestie @blairaptor and I have really been enjoying Project Hail Mary as a whole lately, so I crocheted movie-accurate Rocky for her birthday! I hesitate to admit just how annoyed I was by the sheer amount of separate pieces I had to sew together for this guy XD But despite that, I think Rocky turned out alright! He also has some filler beads in his body to simulate the weight of an eridian - just on a smaller scale, haha.

I so appreciate songs that are from God's perspective -- two others I'd recommend are "Runaway" by Jess Ray and "By Your Side" by Tenth Avenue North. (I think I got those references right but I'm tired so I'll fact check later lol).

It's wild how much Jesus adores us and that having a relationship with Him is as simple as saying "yes" to Him… We don't have to earn His love or feel a certain way or complete tasks to be saved or loved by God, and we don't maintain salvation through good deeds. He loves us first and immediately scoops us up as soon as we ask Him. And the fact that Jesus is wholeheartedly willing to have a relationship with us and help us out when we can't help ourselves plus the fact He's excited to spend time with us and rejoices in us and everything?? It's hard to comprehend but He even helps us with that, too.
