This is important, especially for me sometimes. I often use food as form of punishment. Either binging until I feel sick, or starving until I feel sick. Or eating gluten (which I can’t have). It’s a form of self injury that I can hide better than scars and hair pulling (that’s not why I’m losing hair, I haven’t done it since middle school). The combo of binging and starvation leads to further self destructive behavior because I constantly beat myself up for weight fluctuations.

It is not just okay to eat, it’s okay to eat when I’m hungry and to stop when I am full. It is okay to have healthy habits and to indulge in favorite foods. I am not defined by my food choices or my weight or my mental health.

It’s so fucking weird to see Tubby on my dash from just like a random unrelated blog I follow. That’s just my best friends’ cat. I commissioned a plate painted with her likeness.
