Finished a bit late this week since I had to draw two pages from scratch. Thanks so so much for all the kind comments and support as I worked on this <333. I’m definitely going to do a print run once I get my files in order– will post about it once it’s ready! In the meantime, look out for Superkiddos extras/doodles!

Super City Chapter 6

Hey guys! So I know it’s been a while since I actually updated any of my longer stories, but here I am with a new chapter of Super City at last! This chapter has Damian and Jon enjoying Dippin Dots and the company of one Richard Grayson. I hope you guys enjoy!

Jon’s stomach grumbled. Okay so maybe he was imagining it, but he’d been sitting in an alley for longer than he’d planned, and Damian still hadn’t looked up from where he was scrolling on his phone. Jon knew he wasn’t playing games or checking social media, but it didn’t stop him from glowering at the device.

“Do you think you could read and walk at the same time?” he asked.

Damian blinked up at him and frowned, “What for?”

Jon huffed, “Because we still have to meet your brother.”

His friend’s eyebrows turned down, “What do you mean? We just spoke with him.”

“Mr. Grayson. We were going to have ice cream with him remember?” Jon said, standing.

He stretched, reaching his hands above his head to pop his back. Then he turned his gaze back on Damian, still crouched beside him. “Come on. We’ll keep digging through the file while we walk. Or you’ll read and I’ll make sure you don’t run into a pole.” he grinned.

His friend glared at him, but stood, brushing off his pants. “I did offer to send you the files.”

“Yes but you like reading that stuff.” Jon said.

He pulled his own phone out of his pocket as they began walking, sending a text to Dick: On our way, be there in fifteen.

i’m at the bookstore and i just met a very serious eight-year-old boy in a tiny tweed suit and a light pink button-down shirt who asked me to help him find:

-crime and punishment

-eugene onegin

-a hero of our time

-the call of cthulu

-end of watch by stephen king

also met his very tired mother, who was wearing a purple fleece jacket. the little boy exasperatedly corrected her on her pronunciation of “onegin.” i promise you i am not making up one word of this.

Batman pays for everything

If Bruce was poor, The DC universe would go to hell.

Like, who paid for the watchtower? Wayne Enterpises. Where would they have their privet gatherings without Bruce’s money? Only God knows where…

And what about the teen titans? Bruce paid for the gigant T tower they live in. Seriously.

Oracle’s computers and processors? Forget it. Babs would have to use a plain laptop (she’s a genius, of course she could do it, but it’s still…)

All of the batkids’ toys? Nightwing’s suit? Robin’s gadgets? No way.

Those are just the top of the iceberg. Bruce pays for basically everything the League uses. Do they thank him? Sometimes. Mostly? They just assume things appear when they need them.

Bruce won’t admit it, but he would appreciate a little gratitude every now and then.
