You know what I hate about the ic?

Two of them come from the ruling class, yet they all support it. Like, Cassian and Azriel, they're bastards, Amren... Yeah, I've not figured out to this day what's the deal with Amren, but she doesn't come from the same class as they do. And Feyre? Feyre grew up poor, so you'd expect her to see what the others can't.

I mean, these people talk about dreams and change and seem to consider themselves some revolutionaries, but they don't do anything except for upholding the same ruling class they claim to hate. Like, didn't Rhysand at some point basically say all his ancestors were greedy or evil or whatever? Doesn't Morrigan hate Hewn City because of the system that allowed her family to basically sell her into marriage? Cassian and Azriel, don't they hate Illyria (or some of it) because of the way they (and even Cassian's mother, in his case) were treated?

But they don't do anything about it. These people say so many times they don't like the system they have, but they don't try to change it. Does this system work in their advantage? Yes. Why? The reason is simple: Rhysand. Without Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel would still be bastards, and Morrigan wouldn't have escaped Hewn City.

It seems that from the moment Rhysand enters in someone's life, that person's empathy disappears completely. Morrigan, Azriel, Cassian and Feyre don't think for a moment to put themselves in the shoes of any other person outside of Velaris. They sympathise with their younger selves, but not with the people who are in the same positions as they once were.

The assholes openly admit it. The whole point of college is to enforce the hierarchy. When those who were supposed to be low on the hierarchy started going to college, the assholes get angry and want to make them suffer for challenging the hierarchy.
