Leaving Copenhagen, destination: north of Italy!
A mix of magic and poetry
Nizza Monferatto, Piemonte
Forget about the chaos of the big city, wake up to the sonata of the nature. Its simplicity and beauty getting a pause for the body and mind.
First stop: Piemonte. I was visiting a food industry company for a business meeting and stayed at Agriturismo Tenuta La Romana, simple and charming Patrician style wonderful villa. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, and the house wine is delicious! The breakfast table served delicious homemade Italian specialities from the region , simply amazing! Also, the Patrician rooms of the villa are very romantic with a touch of sophistication. Everything was perfect! Pier Luigi e Barbara from the restaurant at the Agriturismo and the manager Mara were very kind and patient during the stay.

After many years not seeing my Italian family, I decided to call them and met my cousin Marcia. What a feeling! Many emotions and flashbacks come out. Between tears and laughter, it was like the time never went by. Marcia and her lovely husband Luigi took me to the thermal bath in Acqui Terme and a little restaurant called Il Nuovo Ciarlocco - Di Giorgio e Daniela. Giogio himself was the pilot in the kitchen of course. We tasted all the specialities of the region, which was absolutely fabulous! Naturally, it was hard to wake up early and work the day after.

After some hours lost with a driver struggling with his stupid TomTom, I finally found la bella Villa Cordevigo, a charming wine relais. The setting is absolutely impeccable with sophisticated decor. Have a chat with the elegant manager Nicola Apuzzo, and he will give you the tips in town. Marco, the bartender will also help you to choose the right wine and spumante. They have a 3 star Michelin restaurant, but I prefer the small osterias and trattorias in the charming villages around Verona. Already traumatised by maps and TomTom, the villa arranged for me the nicest driver, Raffaella (+39 334 23 40 100). Raffaella was the nicest and very funny, she was kind enough to take me to the local spots in the romantic Verona.

Well, I was in a business trip but if you are in love with your husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/lover it’s the best destination for spicing up the relationship! Or simply take the village people!
From the catwalk Fashion Week to the fashion food! The more I see street fashion the more inspired I am. The Italians are creative, have a sense of humour and a sensuality in the way they move and dress. They coordinate the colours without matching everything and the outfit is a perfect mix match! It’s effortless! They are proud of their culture, fashion and food, which walk hand in hand. It’s the perfect combo. Some countries and people think just wearing expensive brands from head to toes is elegance. No way! Wrong wrong! Spice up your wardrobe with some colourful pieces, buy a flip flop and a hat from the street market and welcome to la dolce vita! For Italians, quality is a must. If you feel depressed and uninspired, catch a plane and take off to Italy, sit at a bar and people watch, as the Parisians do. You will feel the confidence of the Italian people catching up to you. Don’t be afraid to mix the colours, but be careful not to end up looking like Lady Gaga!
Italian street fashion - a burst of colour and prints! Get inspired 😊😊
