Video by Timeflies: "Timeflies - Worse Things Than Love (Explicit) (Official Video) ft. Natalie La Rose"
This morning I was headed to my car when I noticed this note on my windshield... I had no clue what it was so I opened it up right away. So here's the story. There's this man that works at St John's church on my street and feeds the homeless and works throughout the night while the homeless sleep. Often times I park right next to the church and I've talked to him a few times when he's been standing outside waiting for people to come eat. He loves his job and takes great pride in helping out those people, you can tell when he talks about being there. For anyone who knows me, you know I have the ability to remember everyone's names. One night I asked him his name, he told me Boone, and bet me that I wouldn't remember his name. Yesterday I came home from dinner and saw him outside. I yelled across the street a simple "Hi Boone!" waved and smiled and continued to walk home. I guess I made his day. Moral of the story: saying hello to someone and smiling at them can change their whole day! I encourage you to smile at a someone today :)

Day 9
Today I started with my 9th day on the advocare challenge. I woke up feeling discouraged and unmotivated because yesterday I did what you're not supposed to do.. Weigh yourself. Haven't lost a single. Pound. Yet. Totally killed my mood yesterday and carried on to today. Sucks. BUT. I have David and Justin who are totally awesome and lifted my spirits tonight at the mixer at Crossfit Sanctify. I shared my story--justin practically forced me to lol I'm glad he did, was good for me to say that stuff out loud rather than just text David what I was feeling. Sharing my story and actually verbalizing my problems and my reasons for wanting to pursue AdvoCare and the products made it really sink in how badly I want this. I finally hit 30% today so only about $1400 until I reach 40% and then I can work on my rookie bonus. Really need to work on finding more healthy recipes--getting real sick of eggs and egg whites with veggies every day, smoothies and carrots... I'm hoping that I can really see some improvement when I start the max phase. Until then... Working out and continuing to eat healthy should do.
Goals
David wants me to write out some long and short term goals for myself and help me reach them.
-Lose at least 5lbs on 24 day challenge--5/27/15 -Run a mile without stopping--8/1/15 -Make it to 30% discount before pay period ends -Run a 5k--8/1/15 -Run an 8 minute mile--8/1-15 -Be able to do 3 pull ups--5/1/16 -Lose 40 pounds by 5/1/16 -Get to Advisor--7/1/15 -Have at least 2 active distributors under me--9/1/15 -Fit into my size 5/6 pants from high school--5/1/16 -Pay off my car--1/1/18 -Make at least $500 a month off Advocare--5/1/16 -Feel comfortable in a swimsuit--5/1/16 -Try Crossfit--8/1/15
I've put all my AdvoCare products into baggies so it's much easier if I'm on the go and I know what else I have left to take in the day. Prepared!
Advocare Journey-24DC Day 4
Since I was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) about 1.5 years ago, I had to stop eating a lot of protein, couldn't have caffeine, and turned to carbs, and lots and lots of beer on the weekends with friends. I gained 20 pounds just within the last year and haven't been working out or eating healthy to keep any of it off. My self-confidence went down the drain, I was super down on myself about everything and I hated my body. I didn't wanna get close to anybody because I was embarrassed about my body and how much it has changed since high school. When I graduated high school I was 140 pounds and was wearing a size 4 in jeans. I thought I was chubby then. Now I understand that after the years go by, you grow into your body, you gain the freshman 15, yada yada. But no. I've gained almost 50 pounds. In high school I NEVER would have thought that could be possible. But it has. And it's time to get it all off. I'm tired of the comments about being fat, not feeling comfortable in my own skin, hating all my clothes, not having clothes that fit right, or even at all. I keep having to buy new clothes to fit me as each season passes. My favorite tank tops and dresses from last summer don't fit, I can't even get them on... I have been making excuses like "well if I lose weight then the clothes I just bought won't fit, so I wasted money" "I don't have time" "It's too cold out I don't want to go to the gym" Well the excuses have to come to an end. This girl has changed her life for the better. Wanna know how? It's been 8 days since I first made contact with David about AdvoCare. He simply asked me if I could chat and asked for my number. He and Justin called me and it changed my life! Sounds cliche, but it's true. This was the biggest step in the right direction for me to change my life. I have never wanted to be more healthy and fit in my life. I always thought running and working out was to be skinny, but it's so much more than that. When I work out I feel amazing afterward, the soreness actually feels GOOD and I want to work out again later. I've never felt that in my life. Advocare has given me the kickstart to losing weight and becoming a better me in the process. Today marks day 4. I've been eating healthy NOT dieting. I feel refreshed when I wake up, and tired when I go to sleep. If you know me, you know that it's been so hard for me to fall asleep in the last year. I'm a night owl and just could not fall asleep. Well not anymore! The 24 Day AdvoCare Challenge not only does to your body what your body needs, but makes you feel awesome in the process. I can't even have SPARK and I feel great, I can't imagine what it feels like if you can have SPARK! I can't wait for my results and to keep my journey going. I can really tell a difference in my mood and I feel better overall. The people surrounding me during this journey are uplifting, supportive and so helpful! I think I will lose some friends in the process, but I will gain so much more with my AdvoCare family.
Happy girl right now! Let's go #Badgers #OnWisconsin
I'm a happy camper today! @paigeireneowens ❤️
I don't get to see my dad much, but when I do, he always makes sure I'm taken care of. Today while watching a movie he grabbed my hand, smiled and me and then just continued to watch the movie. I fell asleep and woke up to him still holding my hand. This is the stuff I'll always remember.. Not the gifts. I love you dad!!
It's funny how the person who told me this two years ago is now the reason I'm having to reread this quote. It's a good one. I always come back to it when I'm struggling. It's crazy how much your life can change in two years. Who you become close with, who you become distant with, who you love and who you don't... All I know is this has been a tough ride for me. One of the most emotional roller coasters I've ever been on in my life. But the hard times prove to me who is here for me and who won't be. It's a big eye opener, and without everyone who has been there for me I wouldn't be where I am now. I know that each day I'll have more strength than the last. Some days I'll back pedal and that's expected, but If I wasn't strong enough to handle what's going on in my life right now, God wouldn't put me through it. Finally learning to move past the negative things in my life rather than dwelling on them. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? 💕
The only thing I like about this winter is this scarf. ❄️
