hello everyone! I’m Amber Goodshine, and…I have no idea what’s I’m doing here :D

so! Let’s go through some introduction stuff!

I will be posting mostly MCYT fan content on here. There may be the occasional fandom stray but that’ll be the main focus. I have 3 YouTube channels: Captain Amber G (Minecraft), Amber Goodshine Gaming (Gaming), and Annabeth Aftxn (Percy Jackson). (These channels are subject to change topic) I am also on AO3

My take on the Avid and Marm Situation

I’m going to start with 2 things- 1. This is not me making a statement that I was associated with either of these two, so don’t think this is a “my experience” post. 2. Please read on the situation before looking at this post so you understand what’s happening.

After this situation has been touched on, I want to pretty much say exactly what I feel relating to any creators who have been shown to have done horrible things.

I will not be supporting Avid or Marm after any of the things they did- I will do what I can to avoid it. However, Avid specifically hits an odd spot, due to how much I make Vampires related fan works. I never made fanart or anything with Marm, and I probably never will. Vampires Avid specifically, however, I hope to separate the creator from the character. They played a big role in many of the VSMP cast’s stories, and that makes it pretty much inevitable for me to include them in some of my art. While I will likely try to avoid it, please know that when Avid does make an appearance in any art, writing, or animation, it is strictly the character with no association or support to the creator. I do not support either of them, and me drawing Avid or Marm doesn’t mean that I do. Same with anyone else making fan works related to the two. I will make nods to the characters important to the characters I’m making fan works of, and that’s it.

TLDR: I’ll be separating art from artist.

Finally, remember to give the victims support as they try to figure out what they think after being lied to for so long, and respect their privacy. Do not attack Avid or Marm. While they did awful things, we do not need to be doing awful things back.

gonna just add one little thing to this

Any VSMP fics/art I have where v!Avid is meant to play a big role, I will be replacing him with Milo. If you don’t know who Milo is, he’s a character in Witchcraft SMP who is Scott’s partner. Considering the similar vibes of the two SMPs, I thought it would be fitting. I might slightly change the original character’s mannerisms because of this, but consider pretty much any of my vampires content to be a swap AU with v!Avid and Milo, just so I can feel a bit more comfortable with myself writing for him. Remember to not let this situation ruin Vampires for you! There are still so many amazing creators and characters in the SMP that we should appreciate

Tf! Scott kinda the least likely Scott character to have a villain arc, but things are currently being set up in a way that he deserves one THE MOST

It is so heartbreaking to hear the victim statements coming out of the Avid situation. Even as a viewer who saw the signs months ago when Avid began to vague-post and cut off content creators in ways that did not make sense with the context he would reveal, it is still so much worse than I had thought. While believing victims is important, remember that abusers also often claim to be victims as an abuse tactic. Obviously it can be impossible to parse it out, but in many cases, calmly gathering the context available and using some critical thinking about cultural context can help a little bit. A very openly and obviously gay man being slandered in the same way that gay men have historically been slandered is a red flag, especially when the context revealed about those situations directly contradicts that narrative. While obviously those more socially privileged can be abused by marginalized people, and some of Avid's victims were that too, it's still important to recognize and critique obvious harmful rhetoric being used to manipulate. I am sickened and sad, but so glad that the truth came out and victims can speak up.

Here is the SBK collective statement. I recommend that everyone reads the individual victims' statements, you can find many retweeted by Doovid or NatureofGaming. More is likely to come out in the future.

Pride Month!!!

Happy pride guys!! For this year, I’ve decided to remake an art work you may recognize from May 9th 2025! Upgraded art, and updated characters!

Hopefully the month of the gays will let my powers grow and I can do my Scott fanarts I’m behind on lol

Tf!scott needs to crashout, he deserves it and it could go multiple ways.

It could be explosive, when he finally breaks everything spills out and its so cold only pyro can approach him.

Or its silent, so silent that when he breaks no one notices until he stops turning up for class or meeting ip with people. So silent that his whole body has turned to ice, the only way to melt it would be to try and consolidate him but no one can get close.

Maybe he he'll cry, ice crystallising as it falls down his cheeks. Maybe he'll shatter like a thin sheet of ice, the cold breaking through his walls his skin bones and heart. At the moment its creeping. Much like the corruption its slowly eating away at his being, the doubt about his placement, the hurtful words and twisting finally showing as something tangible afrer years of hiding.

He had been doing so well for so long. He can't let the others know, he has to be perfect, hes fine. Its something he can handle himself he shouldnt be a burden on others when hes always been able to handle it himself. He'll be fine so they stay, if hes always good theyll stick around.

Everything is fine he can handle it. Hes had to be perfect his whole life. He can Perfect for them all, just until he can find somewhere to be alone.

the urge to draw tf!scott curled up in a closet to symbolize both being a closeted gay but also his intense isolation and his abandonment issues and being left behind. because surely, if someone were to be worried, they would have gotten him out of the closet by now. you wouldn’t just let them sit in a closet alone. it’s dark in a closet. it’s dark and the top of it is just-too-tall and the doorknobs are on the outside. but nobody’s come to look for him in the closet, they got their jackets from where they hung on the coatrack, and then they left.

i don’t know if that quite makes sense, but it feels somewhat significant to me.

i saw your post and wanted to add, as someone who has been keeping up with streamed smps for some years, the answer is to stop trying to keep up with ALL the streams live. Instead, watch vods when you have time, feel free to skip through sections, and most important of all is to follow the right people

What I meant with the last one is follow people that you see in tags of the smp or character talking about said thing, specially when they are liveblogging or vodwatching too OR when they do analysis and theories of the characters, and probably search in Twitter or Tumblr using "tf! [character]" and "the flight spoilers" to know what is happening. You can always just ask people in making tags or specific people what has been happening too! People are usually friendly and love to talk about these things, sometimes they even know the timestamps by heart!

Just in general, remember that you aren't the only one trying to catch up, and instead of burning yourself when you are busy, relying in others to help you until you are able to watch vods is very helpful, not only to know about your favorite but also to understand others characters too!

(Also, some people like Graecie and Sausage are uploading episodes in youtube, if that helps)

Hi Anon! Yeah, I give up all thoughts of watching them live pretty quickly considering Scott only streams when I’m in class. I’ve definitely been taking my time and looking at what other people are posting, it’s just kinda hard when I want to see the full context to things- just looking at other posts is what got me relatively caught up on Pirates and Bannerfall.

and thank you for the reminder that I’m not the only one- sometimes it feels that way and it can definitely bring my mood down a bit TwT

And if I feel like I can’t keep up with Scott’s streams I’ll definitely check out Sausage or Gracie! So far I’ve had the motivation to actually finish Scott’s streams though, which is different to Bannerfall and Pirates luckily, because while I really wanted to watch those the daunting video lengths eventually took away my motivation T^T

it feels like everyone else is like a week ahead of me and I’m like Jesus guys I’m still at the point before they even figure out how to hatch the eggs, and there’s all this talk about power and angst between Scott and Pyro I don’t want to listen to because spoilers and- ToT
