Wonderful day off :) Was paid a visit by my Mother and Marshall for dinner :) I made Hungarian Gulyás (Goulash) as an homage to my Grandmother which I have never done before. Called my dad for her recipe (turns out all he could tell me was some basics, a couple of pointers due to the fact that she would always chase them out of the kitchen when she cooked 😂🙈) and did some research and it turned out beautifuly! Served with a fantastic bottle of red from my friends Josh and Lindsay ! Honeslty at a loss for words as I've just had one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Striploin & Shrimp Surf & Turf, Dijon Mash, Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash, and a Chili and Orange Beurre Blanc. Hats off to @maurice.boire and company in the kitchen @chiennoirbistro as well as our server Andrew. Everything came together beautifuly and was indeed very humbled to have a good friend as well as an old colleague and mentor cook for us before his next big step in life. #NightMade (at Le Chien Noir)
