Here is my indoor shot from a previous session, but I have used the Lens Correct feature in Photoshop. Original photo is at the top, with the edited one at the bottom.

Attempt at product photography style. The perfume bottle was kinda hard, because the bow wouldn’t sit straight, and the lid was quite hard to get in the picture, without warming up the photo too much.

Second attempt at HDR, this time early afternoon. Very cool using Photoshop to create the dramatic skies :D

Trialling my outdoor photo, in the dark. These were taken with f/22.0 and ISO 1600. Shutter speed was 15.0, 5.0 and 30.0 respectively.

Athough the 30.0 shutter speed brightens up the photo, it also shows more unwanted bright spots which could be from bugs flying around.

An interesting experiment.

Here are my inside photos. These were shot with the following settings:

f/ 22.0, ISO 100 and Shutter speed 1.6.

The top one I shot looking down at the kitchen, which has distorted the horiztonal lines. The second photo shows the lines all more in correct perspective.

Here is my edited image of my high ISO photo. I took this photo with an ISO of 6400. It was in a dark room, and the horse head is a white wash type finish. The image at the bottom is the original image. AS the head was on the ground, I sat down, and used a focal length of 41.0mm to capture this. I like the noise in the picture, as it adds to the eerie effect, and also complements the aged look which is on the horse head. I used the black and white layer, and upped the red to -200, and adjusted the other colours slightly until I had the desired effect.

Few beach shots capturing depth of field. Didn’t specifically take these shots for this exercise (apologies will) but found them in my archives of millions of pix :D Loved these horses we saw as we were driving down the beach. And the wispy clouds adds to the magical beach feeling. The third pic on the right, is of Kariotahi beach hence the black sand, and different cloud formation to the horse pics. Interesting the fun you can have with your Canon :):)

Few shots capturing Deep Depth of Field on Waiheke Island. I actually took these in January, but was looking back at my photos and realised how great these shots were for this Depth of Field activity. Enjoyed the yellow scooters around the island...until I came off and ended up needing 4 stitches X_X

The second pic on the left is at the Mudbrick winery. Really beautiful place. This was taken at the top of the stairs by the winery shop and restaurant, looking down to the carpark.

Capturing Deep Depth of Field of Auckland skyline, from Mt Eden. Was an interesting one as we were sitting up the top of the mountain and watching the rain envelop the city. Was even more spectacular as the sun began to set. As you can see in the top image, the background is kind of pink tones with the rain, while the Skytower and City Centre remain dry...for only a moment.

Played around capturing shallow depth of field with these gorgeous flowers I bought for my mum for mothers day. I like the bottom pic as it blurs the background (the kitchen :D) and brings out the lovely white and green hues. Quite a bright picture tho...

Here is my intial attempt at capturing a shallow depth of field. I was at the Auckland Wintergardens, and as I was about to walk back to my car, this cute wee flower caught my eye. It was hanging in a flower basket just above the door. Capturing these pictures was a little bit challenging as the basket was rotating in the wind. Hence some of these pics are a bit fuzzy. I like the top pic as the background is quite dark, and the flower is very bright. The AV setting on the camera captured some unique Bokeh effect too.

Another attempt at Zoom Blur. focused on the cenotaph at the Auckland Museum and then zoomed out. I have also added a ‘still’ picture of the Auckland Museum and the cenotaph so you can get what I was taking a picture of. I prefer this image over my attempts of the Skytower, as it is a lot softer. Not the spidery light effect. The warm lighting of the Museum behind the cenotaph probably enhances the zoom blur effect in comparison to my attempts of the Skytower.

First attempt at Zoom Blur. Interesting effect this one! I first tried this of the skytower, while standing in front of the Auckland Museum. The skytower was poking above a bunch of trees not far in front of me. Cool effect, however, perhaps a bit spooky!! Haha.I like the second image, but would prefer it without the grass and roading in it. Some of the lights are a bit spidery. If I was to do this again, I would try and get a pic of it in daylight, or else directly opposite the skytower. Then I wouldn’t have the effect of the spidery lights, or the unwanted grass showing up in the pic.
