Here in Algiers, if it's raining and 50 degrees outside, you are expected to wear a snow jacket and bundle up. Rosalie comes walking out of school looking like something from "A Christmas Story". Once, I walked out of our car at preschool drop off with J in his long Jammie's and a woman lectured me in French about how he should be wearing a jacket. So, I gave into the Algerian norms, and now my son falls asleep from being so warm in his car seat every morning. Our Embassy drivers feel so accomplished when he falls asleep too...me on the other hand is thinking how he is taking his morning nap in the car, and mommy won't be able to enjoy her two hour coffee break. Tipaza September 2016 An afternoon trip to Tipaza to visit Roman ruins. The romans made Tipaza a port. So much rich history. You can touch the ruins and picnic in the ruins. After there is plenty of rug and pottery shopping. Very beautiful.

A new year, move, and blog!

Bonjour from Algiers! 

Decided to switch things up and move from Wordpress to Tumblr. 

Life needs to be easier for us right now. We move to our new post next summer, raising 2 little ones, and doing a lot of travel. It has been hard to blog. 

So, this new blog will be less words and more pictures; of our adventures around the world and my everyday life.
