His brows lifted as she replied that jaunty. Oh this lady was fun. He thought and chuckled about her cheeky reply after a moment. “Fine, I’ll remember that.”, he grinned and shot her a wink.
He noticed the way she said my regular. She was teasing him, wasn’t she? “You’re often here? I guess you work on the station then, am I right?”, he still hadn’t figured out with whom he was talking.
“Well, I’m needed on Voyager, for chasing the Marquis into the badlands. I’m a great pilot. Probably the best you can get.”, he smirked and run his fingers through his blonde hair. “Tell me, what is a beautiful Trill like you doing on this space station? Are you researching the Gamma Quadrant?”, he guessed. Tom tried to flatter the young woman, but he wasn’t as good as he used to be. At least he tried to be charming, the young man didn’t looked away from her, yet his eyes were tracing her beautiful hair, the interesting spots on the side of her face and her face. He smiled foolishly, yet he was still acting confident.
“How rude of me,” she answered, “Lieutenant Jadzia Dax, Chief Science Officer here on D-S-9.” She introduced herself.
And she already knew who he was. The gossip had spread like wildfire. Even BEFORE Voyager had finished docking, news about the Maquis intervention mission had been the only story on anyone’s lips. After all, the whole station knew about Captain Sisko’s rivalry with Edington. Any news about another possible grudge match would have only been overshadows maybe by another sighting of the infamous Q entity, who thankfully had seemed to lose his petite for this particular space station after encountering Sisko’s MEAN right hook.
“The wormhole is a definite perk to the job,” Jadzia said, only smiling coyly as she let the compliment slide by otherwise unacknowledged, “But I had accepted the post long before we’d learned about it. I’m… old friends with the commanding officer.” Very old friends, she added, internally. “And I see you’ve got your father’s confidence.”

Tom smiled: "Tom Paris, Voyagers pilot. Nice to meet you Jadzia Dax. Please, call me Tom.", he introduced himself and didn't bothered telling his privisorial declaration 'observer'.
It was refreshing that somebody cared enough to talk with Tom. Rumors had spread with warp speed that Tom had been in a penal colony and been a criminal before the Captain had asked him for help. He wasn't a bad guy per se, he just had made the wrong decisions.
Jadzia seemed to be a forgiving personality, she might know who he is, but she didn't really acted up on that knowledge.
Tom nodded as she spoke, showing his interest. "I heard about the discovery, you were big news in the entire quadrant.", he stated with a big smile: "A friend from another Trill life?", Tom knew that Trill had the memories of their past life's, he just didn't knew about the symbionts.
He looked surprised as she mentioned his father. Jadzia must know exactly who he was, and she had met his father obviously. "Uhm well. I'm not like my father otherwise, guess that must be in the genetics.", he reached up, his fingers sliding through his blonde hair and scratching the back of his head. "So you met my father? I'm sorry he can be grumpy and harsh. Don't worry I'm not like him.", he stated.

I do not know what else I would like to eat. What do you feel like? “
Tom smirked at her enthusiasm once he mentioned ice cream. He’ve had a feeling she might like it, but it seemed it was one of her favorite, if not the favorite food of her.
“I’ll prepare a sandwich, some cucumber and peppers with dip, and a tea. That will leave enough space for lots and lots of ice cream.”, he shot her a wink: “And while you’re eating, I can tell you a bit about Captain Proton - Protector of the Earth.”, he was already toasting the toast and searching the fridge for some cheese and ham.

Tom sat down and relaxed a bit. The young man sat comfortably and wondered if Beverly Crusher might not be too strict with rules given that she called the Captain by her first name. He sat up straight however as she called him son of Admiral Paris. “I am Tom Paris, my father may be Admiral but I’m not much like him.”, he said as calm as possible. He didn’t liked being compromised to son of Admiral Paris. After all his relationship with his father was glacial. Tom tried to smile despite his emotions towards his father after a moment, he at least had to try to be polite.
The Lieutenant listened and at her question his arm rose and his fingers run through his blonde hair, scratching the back of his head for a moment. It was a tic Tom had, whenever he was thinking about something he happened to do this.
“My first aid should be alright for a normal Starfleet Officer, maybe not the level a trained nurse would have though. I can deal with external bleeding and sprains quite well.”, he told her honestly. “I also know how to use a dermal regenerator.”, he added. His face lit up as she told him he wouldn’t be needed on a daily basis. Tom didn’t commented on her last statement, but the smile forming on his lips was a clear statement.
“I think my last host – Curzon Dax – met your father, briefly, on a diplomatic mission to Qo’nos some years ago… As I recall, he didn’t much approve of me. Something about my ‘not behaving appropriately for a Federation liaison.’ ” Jadzia smirked as she sat down next to the young man that everyone else in a Starfleet uniform at Quark’s that day seemed to be readily avoiding.

Tom looked up at the young woman in surprise, but he smiled as he saw the young beautiful Lady in Starfleet uniform. It hadn’t been a great day so far. Everyone of his own crew, and most people despite the Dabo-girls and the bartender have had avoided him.
She was talking about a current host meeting his father. As he looked at her some more he could see the dots on the side of her face and neck, she must be Trill.
Smirking he listened and as she finished he chuckled: “Well, he certainly haven’t told me that.”, he shifted a bit so he was facing her: “Be assured I’m not like my father. Though I would have payed much to see his face.”, he laughed softly. “May I buy you a drink?”, he asked and waved towards Rom who was passing by with a tablet.

Beverly looked up from the desk in Voyager’s sickbay, seeing a familiar young man standing in front of her. Of course, she recognized him from when she had briefly joined the Maquis, half as a spy for Starfleet, and half because she wanted to see the downfall of Cardassia.
After what had happened to Jean-Luc at the hands of Gul Madred, she had been filled with anger, and so when Admiral Nechayev asked for her help, she didn’t refuse. She couldn’t have. She had never been driven by the idea of revenge, but for a while, she had. Now, she wanted nothing to do with it.
She had told Jean-Luc that she would be gone for only a little while, and now she was stuck out here in the Delta Quadrant on Voyager. She would never see him again, and there was no way to say goodbye to him.
Essentially, the admiralty had taken advantage of her want for revenge and she blamed them for her being trapped here. Tom Paris, the man who stood in front of her was the son of Admiral Paris… she wanted to yell at him, pretend for a moment that he was his father, but she couldn’t. Tom wasn’t his father.
“What can I do for you?” she asked, smiling at him. She would make it work. Kathryn would find a way back to the Alpha Quadrant, she knew it.
Given the circumstances that they haven’t had enough nurses, exactly spoken they had none, Tom had been assigned to be a part-time nurse in sickbay for the time of their journey. He wasn’t happy about that decision, however he had heard the new Doctor was quite nice. He haven’t had the time to greet her before they were stranded, and now he seemed to have plenty of time to get to know her and say hello. Doctor Crusher she was called, the name ringed a bell. Haven’t she been chief medical officer under Captain Picard? He remembered his father talking about her. However he had never seen a picture of her.
He turned to step through the door, the doors swooshed open automatically and as he took the few steps towards her desk in sickbay he frowned a little. That face seemed familiar. Where had he seen her before? It must have been in a book or report at Academy he told himself.
He stood at attention, hands clasped together behind his back, his face emotionless as he had been taught at Academy: “Lieutenant Paris, reporting as ordered.”, he said and stood straight.
At her question and the smile he loosened his stance and stood more at ease: “Well, I’ve been told to help out as nurse. I haven’t been trained a nurse, however I understand a bit about biochemistry. Captain Janeway thought I might be of help as an assistant.”, he explained, wondering why Doctor Crusher haven’t been informed.
“You’ll have to show me your .. uhm ... telephone box later.”, he said, unsure what to call her strange teleportation ship. The smirk she shot him implied that there was more to discover than he could see or imagine yet.
“Well, I didn’t really saw him, but my Captain might remember.”, he told her. “You don’t happen to know a faster way home, do you?”, something about the way she asked told him that she was smart and in some ways better than humans.
He was quite glad that she already told him more about her ship. The blonde pilot frowned: “Can you normally steer it or set a course?”, he wasn’t quite sure how he could understand the navigation. “Anyway, you could say we’re in need. My whole crew is.”, he commented and after a short break he asked: “So, a time lady hmm... what does that mean. Are you traveling in time?”, he knew that happened sometimes and there were people from the 29th century watching over the timeline and it’s integrity. However he couldn’t quite believe what he had just heard.

Tom was glad his captain seemed to be delighted. He watched her eat the cookie and chuckled once she commented on his replicated package: “It seemed more authentic in a package, don’t you think?”, he replied with a trademark smirk.
The blonde pilot couldn’t help a giggle as she struggled with the lights: “Need a hand Captain?”, he asked and took a step towards her. His hand cupped hers as she was pulling the lights in the totally wrong direction, then he gently moved it in the opposite way before removing his hand after just a moment. Helping on another end of the chain of lights, he shot her a wink and after a moment of shared effort they had unraveled the chain and were ready to get them on the tree.
“Souds like a good idea.”, he replied and waited for her to step towards the tree.

“Really? I’ve got a med-kit if you need it. I know how to heal a bruise. I can imagine you’ve had a bumpy right in that thing. Doesn’t look very comfortable to be honest, but I can be mistaken...”, he mused. Tom had to frown at her description of not quite human.
“Yet you’ve heard of humans obviously.”, he commented on his thoughts, then she looked in pain and he went from confused to nurse-mode in a second - after all she was cute too: “I am a part time nurse at my ship. Are you sure I shouldn’t try to help you. Looks painful...”, he sat down next to her and explained: “Well, I guess it must be about two years since we stranded now. We haven’t ever been in this part of the universe, right now, we’re in the middle of no-where. There aren’t any alien-species around, just some unoccupied planets and nebula.”, his fingers run through his blonde hair as he sighed: “Some alien had pulled us over and died before he was able to send us back. He was searching for a mate, so the species he was watching over wouldn’t be in trouble. However, we are facing a long journey home now.”
He stood and checked his panels, trying to get them to work he asked: “How about you? How did you get here?”
