why aren’t friend kisses more of a thing

there have been so many times we’re i’ve felt a rush of affection towards my friends and I want to kiss them as a gesture of happiness or excitement or just general human intimacy but I can’t because kissing is almost universally interpreted as inherently romantic or sexual. romance is not the only bond worthy of physical intimacy.

When I was younger I was always over 200 lbs. in my early adult hood I followed a diet that led me to lose 58 lbs- and cause me to develop an eating disorder.

Even tho I was the smallest I ever was, I still had a belly roll and always felt like I was still too fat.

Now, I’m in recovery, I gained weight but now am slowly watching my body change while I eat clean foods- when I’m hungry, no restrictions.

I am still chubby, still have a belly roll, but I have a better relationship with food than I’ve ever had, and a better relationship with my body than I could have hoped for.
