"Don’t mind at all." She smiles handing him the whole box then then turning to continue looking around. "You can’t cook?" Roxy lets out a disappointed "tsk" as she shook her head. "Cooking is important although I can’t be one to talk here. I prefer not to cook." Her hands find a bottle and she lets out a loud "yes!" She grabs it and looks at it but finds herself disappointed. "Shoot. It’s just water."
Throwing the bottle back in, she turns around with her box of cookies and sits on top of the counter opposite of the other. “So who are you?”
The blonde takes a small bite of the cookie as she stared at him waiting for an answer. Roxy made it obvious she was studying him, taking her time to see if he was a friend or a foe. Raising an eyebrow, she stares at him with a serious face expression, one finger on her chin focusing on him.
Taking the box, he helped himself to a couple cookies, listening intently as she spoke to him. "Ah...Is it really? I've never had to cook, so I didn't know. Maybe I should try to learn." As he ate, his eyes scanned the kitchen, looking at all the utensils... And he was a little overwhelmed, having not seen most of them in his entire life. Upon bringing his eyes back to the blonde, a curious look went across his face. "...Just water? What else would it be?"
As far as he knew, there wasn't anything else one could drink that looked the same as water. His knowledge of alcohol was of red wine being sipped by his guardians when they were with him, and nothing more. He didn't know of its effects, or the different kinds. This child has a lot he needs to learn.
He spaced out for a moment, thinking over the possibilities, before realizing he was being asked a question. A small smile popped up as he introduced himself.
"My name is Sei. And who are you?"
As he realized he was being looked at, he met her gaze, his confusion coming back rather quickly. It wasn't like this was new to him, but still he became a little uneasy. He didn't exactly know what she was looking at him for, and shuffled a little in place, lowering his eyes and examining himself -- looking from his arms to his chest, then down at his feet. Nothing was different that he could see, only leaving him more perplexed. Raising his face he looked to her again, and after a moment he spoke up: "Um... Is something wrong?"
Introduction (New Comer)
It was not to long when he received the invitation to the Hope’s Peek Academy, he was excited to be in a school, in the invitation letter, he was selected as the Super High School Level Bakery because of his baking talent for his young age, he started it out after his friends told him his good at baking cakes, cookies and also for brewing some tea.
Then after he enter inside the school at the hallway, suddenly he saw a spiral image on the wall, he fells a bit daze and felt consciousness for a few minutes, after he awake he felt dizzy and now he was in a weird class with chalk written on the blackboard it says ‘Welcome to Despair Academy’, he stood up and gets out from the class.
The brunette then walks in the hallway again, he feels like he was in a different world “Wh..what?! Where am I? I should be inside Hope’s Peek Academy?!!Where am I?!” He walks around the school to find some clues or find any person who can answer him.
As he allowed himself to wander the halls more and more, it was becoming normal to need to take breaks as to not push his body too far and end up in pain. He would retrieve a glass of water, sometimes medicine, and then go and have a seat somewhere to relax and have a breath of air that wasn't as stuffy as his dorm -- as of right now, it happened to be one of the hallways the classrooms were located in. Though it was empty, and a little lonely, he still sat happily, somewhat lost in thought.
Sei was eventually drawn away from his thinking when someone made their way out of one of the classrooms--perplexing, as he hadn't seen them walk in. The more he looked, though, the more he was sure he knew why -- they had probably just arrived. And so, he put on a warm smile, and stood to shakily approach the stranger.
"Hello!"
"Do you need any help? You seem rather lost."
At the least, he knew he could help the other find their way around, or explain what little he knew about this place -- something that hadn't been done for him when he came to the school just recently.
Trying to figure out how to work his MM after drinking his vial. He's confused, but he can't remember the last time he felt this great.
Happy new year, sweet prince.
"The feeling is mutual. These days I rarely meet people from outside the family."
Lion took a seat, watching Sei move around the room. His company was undeniably pleasant, and they couldn’t help but feel relief that at least one of their roommates turned out to be polite and well-mannered.
The room itself wasn’t too bad either; not much different than the dormitories at his previous high school, although not as large or well-furbished. Perhaps the three of them would be able to come on some sort of agreement on redecorating?
"It’s not bad at all. It just needs a but of sprucing up, I think."
A pause. Thinking of home made Lion feel nostalgic, and they briefly wondered how their family was getting along. Jessica must have been giving mother a hard time, by now.
"I lived in my family’s mansion on a small island called Rokkenjima, when I wasn’t away for school. It was large, extravagant, and rather empty. What about you?"
"I lived on an island as well -- Midorijima." He hesitated, "It was a building called Oval Tower. I rarely left it."
Sei spoke about this place the way one would of a fond memory, even laughing to himself about it -- or more so how he didn't remember a lot of it.
"Really, the appearance is a pretty fuzzy aside from my room. I just remember it being very white and cold. Tile floors, plain walls... But my room was colorful."
"I had a bird, and there were a lot of gifts from my guardians... Though, I never actually opened most of them. I feel a little guilty for that, now."
As he went silent, he walked over to take a seat across from Lion. He looked lost in thought for a moment, debating mentioning his travels, though they weren't physical, but decided against it for now. When he came to, he smiled again.
"I'm sorry for going on, I have never actually had the chance to speak of it before. What do you suppose we do about 'sprucing up' this place? I heard there was a shop, do you think they would sell things to make it more comfortable living here?"

Out of all the places she chose to go to first, the blonde hacker decided to find the kitchen. She looks around tossing food out of the fridge looking for something nice to drink since this place doesn’t have any damn alcohol. That’s fine. She’ll be O-kay. But out of curiosity, what if she finds a way? Hmm. Roxy shakes her head because that’s one ridiculous thought, Of course she can alchemize some but she was under the assumption that would be impossible here.
As looks through some cabinets she finds some cookies. Not expired. “Just..one.” She grabs two boxes and turns around only to meet a questionable look from one of the poor suckers living here just like she was now. “Want some?” Roxy says holding out a cookie. Hopefully he wasn’t some weirdo that kills people like she’s been informed off. If a person is that desperate for a fucking cookie then that fucking bear has no right to call her an ‘alcoholic.’
Sei had been spoiled in a sense, always being given lovely meals by workers or having to deal with a feeding tube during experiments. As such, he'd never really had to get his own meals, so this was something new.
Never using a stove -- or even a microwave -- he was a little anxious as he found the kitchen. How would he go about this? What would he even make? He didn't know how long to cook meat or at what temperature. This was going to be a train wreck.
His thought train came to an end as he entered the room to find a young lady going through the fridge, and then the cabinets, clearly on a search for something.
Thinking it best to just wait for her to be done so he didn't get in her way, he waited patiently for her to find what she wanted and go. This wasn't the case, though, and he soon found himself with an offer and an outstretched hand holding a cookie.
He did love sweets, but taking food from the people at this school was something he assumed could have bad consequences.
... Sei decided he would worry about that later. A soft smile crossed his face as reached out to take the cookie.
"Yeah, as long as you don't mind sharing them... Thank you!"
He took a small bite of the cookie, swallowing before he spoke again.
"I guess cookies as a meal isn't too bad, it's going to save me from cooking for now." -- A small laugh -- "Which is for the best, I don't know how to cook anything."
unusual introduction ; closed w/ captivedoll
"Hwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I’m so bored! Nobody’s talking to me!”
There was the teeny dancer; sitting by herself in the rec room, whining about silly matters that she wasn’t even attempting to solve. Tiny fists were clenched as she whinged, and her piecing screeches didn’t appear to be finishing any time soon.
Temper tantrums were a usual thing back home, as Hiyoko was never satisfied with what she had. If she got a pony? It’d be the wrong colour, and she’d throw a fit. If she got a video game, such as Pokemon Sapphire? She’d shriek about how it was the wrong one, and how she wanted Ruby instead.
It didn’t help much that Hiyoko wasn’t even used to such an unusual school life, seeing as everyone was at the ski resort when she arrived. She was going to be the center of attention, since she was at home, right? Wrong. Nobody at all had even bothered with attempting to converse with her, and the blonde was furious.
In the corner of her eye, she then noticed a figure entering the rec room. She couldn’t tell who it was—not that it’d matter, anyways—but she still made herself apparent.
"H-Hey, you there! You’ve come to worship me, as the great classical dancer I am, right? Come on, come on! On your knees! Chop chop!"
This awful shrieking made him unsure whether he should walk in or not. He stood just outside the doorway of the recreation room, cringing at the whining that was loud enough to give him a headache.
Perhaps he should just turn around and go back to his room, come back at a later time, but... He was already here, and walking up all those stairs was a pain. So, uneasily, he made his way into the room.
The complaints stopped for a brief time, and he thought it was going to remain quiet... Only for that to be proven wrong immediately. At least this was a much more pleasant tone.
Still, he wasn't expecting it to be directed at him, and spun around looking about as if thinking her to be speaking to someone else -- though he hadn't seen anyone when he walked in. When confirming that he and the other were alone, he brought himself back to face her.
"...On my knees?"
What an odd request.
There was a moment where he hesitated, unsure if he should or not, but eventually he sank to them as told. Staring at her with confused eyes, his head tilted to the side slightly, he awaited her to say something more... And then the rest of what she said clicked in his head, and a glimmer of interest sparked in his eyes.
"Do you mean you're going to dance? I'd love to watch, I've never seen someone do so in person." He straightened his posture a little bit and looked up at her expectantly.
there, there. puppy-kisses will make it all better.
Lion mentally berated themself. Forgetting to introduce yourself at the start of a conversation was an amateur mistake. Still, it didn’t seem like Sei noticed.
Despite his odd manner of dressing, the young man seemed very polite. Lion had a feeling they would get along quite splendidly.
"My name is Lion Ushiromiya. It is a pleasure to meet you, Sei."
There was a hint of extra emphasis on the ‘Lee’, although not enough to turn the tone rude. It was an easy mistake to make, considering the fact that Lion’s anglophile grandfather had no idea how to spell ‘Leon’. Lion was used to it by now.
They paused to examine the room. It wasn’t anything like the family mansion, but it certainly wasn’t a hovel either.
"If there’s anything you want to know, ask away."
"It's nice meeting you as well! It's been some time since I've met someone in a pleasant way like this."
Sei felt his cheeks heat up in embarrassment at the realization he had pronounced Lion's name wrong -- a fairly uncommon occurrence, even if mostly because he had always heard names before saying them himself.
Still, a bright smile formed on his face, and he gave a small nod of understanding.
As the other quieted for a moment, he did as well, looking about the room. Very empty, but much more welcoming than his -- or really, any room of Oval Tower.
"Thank you! The same goes for me..." He hummed in thought. "There's so much I could ask."
He paced around the room, looking over things and peering in drawers for no particular reason. Lots of space for storing things -- it kind of made him wish he had more on him so they wouldn't be so empty.
Eventually, he returned his gaze to look at the blonde again.
"...It doesn't seem like too bad of a room to stay in, does it? What sort of place did you live in before coming here?"
Searching for and locating room 210 and were simple tasks. Entering the room was an entirely different animal unfortunately. There was young man standing in front of the door, and he seemed to be in the middle of something.
Lion remained silent. Interrupting would be rude and first impressions were important, after all. Especially when there was a chance of insulting someone you would have to share a room with.
Only a minute passed. Lion started when the stranger acknowledged finally acknowledged their presence. The blonde made a quick bow in greeting.
"… Pardon me. I hope I’m not interrupting anything. Is this your room as well?"
Bowing? It was never something that he had to do whilst in Oval Tower, and he wasn't so sure if he should return it or not.
With a little pause, he mimicked the other. Being rude wasn't something Sei wanted to do, even if the movement caused a pain to shoot through his side.
"Ah, yes it is! You're actually not interrupting at all -- I was curious as to what my roommates would be like."
"I suppose you came at a very good time, because now I have the chance to learn about one... As long as that is not any trouble."
Removing his key from his pocket, he tightened his grip on it and and took a stride forward to unlock the door. Stepping in, he politely held it open for the blonde.
"I am Sei. Are you Akita or Lion?"
There he was, standing in front of his door, examining the shiny plaques engraved with the names of himself and his roommates.
He'd looked at the other ones, and they all seemed at least a little older than the ones he viewed now-- more dusty, some damaged... But these ones were all new. Sparkling clean. That must have meant that his roommates were new too, didn't it? Or very focused on cleanliness. Probably the former.
Engrossed in this realization, Sei wondered if they were just as confused about this place as he was. Would they know their way around, at least? Perhaps they would all learn together.
Absent, he didn't even notice that he stood in the way of the entrance to one of the roommates, and only came to notice a moment or so later.
Staring blankly at them now. Had they said anything to him while he was thinking? He wasn't sure. Maybe he should greet them... though it would probably sound out of place now. Oh well.
"...Hello."
