Bits of Early October 2021. Pandemic sucks but beauty remains - just trying my best to seek it out.

Sep 18 - The theme was ‘Floral Disco’.

No occasion - just a night to let our hair down and hang out.  Real talk - it can be difficult for me to find fun / have something to look forward to during this socially isolating pandemic.

Hosting this party reminded me how much I love costume parties. It was really great to just CHILL OUT with good friends, good food, and cast all anxieties from the self for a night.

Capturing the spontaneous bits of it on film was a real joy too :)

I love how the grainy and washed out quality of this photograph makes it look like this photo was taken in the 1960s (esp with their outfits!) when it was, in fact, taken during a pandemic in Sep 2021.

Charlotte’s birthday party theme was ‘suit up’. Was a great excuse to get into a tux and feel all luxe.

Open mic karaoke at Skinny’s Lounge. You either have the time of your life there, or you get into a fight (or both).

My cousin met his wife-to-be while ballroom dancing. I came across this floral arch after family dinner and asked them if they wanted a photo. They got into this pose straight away, almost as if this was how they fell in love while they were dancing partners. At least, that’s how I imagine it.

Saw that the sun was casting this golden glow onto the house wall. #completelyunedited I ran to get my camera and captured it as fast as I could. Golden hour disappears so fast...

That place was grungey, had great music and fresh rooftop air. 

Was a great Saturday night venue! Miss it.
