After struggling for three months with terrible unexplainable acne, and suffering through the subsequent acne treatments (still ongoing) that caused dry irritated flaky skin, nausea, vomiting, extreme sun sensitivity, and many unpleasant effects, my face is finally starting to clear up! Nowhere near textbook perfect, but to me it is an amazing change! My face went from being covered in rough bumps as well as some deeper cyst like pimples that scarred, to this! Slowly gaining my confidence and willingness to wear makeup back! #nomakeupjustmoisturizer

Nurses Week Swag

This week is Nurses Week, celebrating and thanking all of the hardworking and special nurses out there for all their profession does. While health care is always an interprofessional teamwork endeavour, we celebrate nurses on the week coinciding with the birthday of the mother of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale. To all of the nurses I know, and those I do not, thank you for your caring, your compassion, your empathy, your critical thinking, your hard work, your ability to thrive under pressure, and the special things that you do for your patients to make their days brighter. On a more personal note, thank you to all of the nurses who have encouraged me and taught me during my own journey to becoming a nurse.
