Yay for pretty hair pins! I about to make several similar and have them available for sale.
I've been vanished from here for a bit doing the thing where I sell my labor to a corporation and they crush my soul and leave me with little time for much else... But I'm back now, and dusting off my skills by making useful things. In the background of the second pic, you can see the design from my last post, which I'll be working soon.
Arting again! This is a design for a hair pin. I don't know if I'll make it in copper, but the point is to get creative juices flowing in the right direction to get crafting again soon.
I think I might make filigree around the top and bottom of the outside, too.
Beginning a new hanging!
I'm leaving this one oxidized. I'm very happy with it.
Key sun catcher, finished except for sealing.
I'm not sure if this goes with the moon. Probably not.
Next up on my workbench...
Finished!
I've added glittery, cobalt blue, glass beads and prism crystal drops. I'm building the chain today, so it should be finished soon!
Testing the layout and making the chains. The layout can always change when I put it together, but I like this idea so far. No, I hadn't posted the filigree pieces before. I made those right before I started posting on Tumblr again.
So this is coming along. What do you think?
Final shaping. 😁
Holes drilled and annealed in propane torch. Cleaning before the final shaping.
Copper leaves made of scraps! Still a work in progress, but it's looking good.
Before and after running the piece through the mill.
